ACT 2, SCENE 7
Rolling through the city streets, Booker picks up his C.B.
BOOKER DARVILLE
Hey, Snow Angel, you've got your ears on?
CLEMENTINE SNOW
That's a big 10-4, Sonuva Bandit. Whatcha got going on?
BOOKER DARVILLE
I'm rollin' up on Tallulah, and I'm getting hungry. Wonderin' if you want to meet me for some food. We're about an hour and a half ahead of schedule, so we got some time.
CLEMENTINE SNOW
Ah, sure, why not. You said your 20 was Tallulah?
BOOKER DARVILLE
10-4.
CLEMENTINE SNOW
Son of a gun, how'd you get ahead of me?
BOOKER DARVILLE
Oh, I don't know, I'm just faster than you.
CLEMENTINE SNOW
Most women would say that's not a good thing.
BOOKER DARVILLE
You know what?
CLEMENTINE SNOW
What?
Booker is silent.
CLEMENTINE SNOW
What, Booker?
BOOKER DARVILLE
Just get here. I'm sending you an address.
CLEMENTINE SNOW
HA-HA-HA, got nothing to say to that wise guy?
Booker doesn't answer.
ACT 2, SCENE 8
Clementine pulls up on Suga's Diner. Booker leans against his truck with his arms crossed watching her. Clementine jumps from her truck and walks over to him.
CLEMENTINE SNOW
What?
BOOKER DARVILLE
You know what.
CLEMENTINE SNOW
(laughing)
Oh, come on, you were askin' for it.
BOOKER DARVILLE
Just like you asked for this.
Booker wraps his arms around her and wrestles Clementine to the ground. The two laugh as they roll around in the dirt trying to pin the other. Clementine ends up pinning Booker to the ground.
CLEMENTINE SNOW
Ha! Now whatcha gonna do?
Booker shrugs his shoulders and stands up carrying Clementine with him. He hoists Clementine over his shoulder and walks into the diner.
