Mitch's POV

Oh look. A new bottle of zalephon. A new bottle of sleep. I now had a spare bottle, and some painkillers near me when I slept. Not for any particular reason, but I was happy knowing it was there.

"Sure you'll find that enough? I think more is in order." Alison asked slowly, and I stared at her. "I don't know why I'd need more." I answered carefully, and stowed it in my drawer right as I got a text from Ryan. Cn i com ovr? He asked, and I facepalmed from his spelling. So many times, Jerome and I had commented on it.

Jerome.

I guess Jerome picked him up or something. Were they dating? Maybe not.

I typed a yes to Ryan before slipping away to get dressed and wash up, and in the midst of it, I heard the girls gather downstairs.

Everything felt so different. It had started with Amber, Shadow and Fern, but then Alison had come along, and Fern had left, then Tash had stayed. Tash was amazing company, but sometimes, all I wanted was Jerome to be with me, and for things never to have changed. I'd hurt him once before though. Did I say I'd never do it again? But that wasn't willing, when I still didn't know feelings... I don't think I do now.

I finished up. My YouTube channel was doing well I guess, still having videos going up, but it was slower, less effort. It had lost meaning, so I was just yelling quotes. I didn't know what to do anymore. I still looked the same I guess, plus the bags under my eyes, but everything in me felt so different.

The doorbell rung and I listened as Shadow opened it, and heard the familiar voice loudly announce his presence. Ryan came in, wandering around as he tried to find me. He turned up in my room and then hugged me unexpectedly, and I looked at him oddly. "Okay..." I muttered in confusion, and he laughed. "Mitch! My buddy! How are you?"

"How can I be?" I asked bitterly. Ryan kept giving me a questioning look so I sighed. "It's not going good. Some days, all I feel is sadness." I murmured sadly. Ryan came closer suddenly, and in an effort to get away from him, I started backing away, until I hit a wall. He leant his face closer to mine, and I vainly tried to push him away. "Uh. What's happening?"

"I could make it better." He whispered seductively, and kissed me.

It was such a hungry kiss, bursting with power. I tried to break off, but my hands were trapped between us from when I tried to push away. A stair creaked near us, and I tried to stick out a hand to call for help or something. Nope. I watched a figure see us, then run away. Jerome? I thought, before I got an idea. I stomped my foot on Ryan's foot, then when he flinched, I forcefully shoved him off. "Get the fuck out. Now. I don't ever want to see you here again, or I swear I will fucking smash your ugly face in, you hear me? Don't touch me ever again. In fact, don't even go near Jerome. Now get out of my house, or I will call the cops." I hissed venomously, jabbing Ryan in the chest. He willingly left, but turned on me with a mocking glance. "Nice doing business with you, Mitchell. I'm sure you enjoyed it, so let me know when you want round two. I know I'll be waiting for it." He said cockily, and I raised a shaking fist, and pulled the finger at him. "Don't make me punch you. It will hurt, I promise." I warned, and Ryan grinned as he looked at me. "It was all to get Jerome jealous, anyway." He murmured triumphantly, before adding. "And I know it worked, so swallow that you now have no chance." He walked out the room like some prize peacock, and I looked at him angrily. "Yeah? At least I have a heart, bitch! All you do is break them!" I called after him. I stormed downstairs after he'd left. Shadow and Tash looked kinda angry at my appearance, so I spoke first. "Do not let that proud ass in again. Honestly, I could punch him right now!" I fumed, and they looked at me uneasily. "I thought you liked him?" Tash offered helpfully, and I shook my head. "What? No. I still love Jerome."
