"What?!" Jennie snapped her head to the person who entered her office unapproved

"Woah, calm down" her COO sat in her large couch

"What do you want,Jisoo?" the CEO asked without removing her eyes in files infront of her

"Nothing, I just came here to have lunch with you" as Jisoo set all the takeout food she ordered

"Why? Can't you have your lunch in your office?"

"Slow down with the attitude Jen, I'm already pissed that you sent me to see Mr Choi" Jisoo warned her

"I don't wanna meet him either so..."

"No wonder why your wife left you"

Jennie squeezed the paper that was in her hand. She's not in the mood already and Jisoo just knows how to push her buttons

"Yeah, Maybe." She tried to say it nonchalantly

"Want me to spill more words 'til you bring your ass up here?" Jisoo asked already on her second chicken

Jennie rolled her eyes and stood up.

"Ah, still works." as Jisoo looked at the CEO in front of her

"Yeah, and soon I'll forget that you're my friend. Why'd you have to do that always?"

"Is there any other way? Look at you Jen, you're thin!"

"Jen, being thin because of healthy diet is far from being thin from abusing yourself to work"

"What else I can do? I got nothing but the company" as Jennie started to eat her food

"I'm doing my best to keep their retirement good and steady chu, I don't want to be a burden"

"How about finding Chaeyoung?"

Jennie was in the middle of eating her noodles and choked when she heard her wife's name "The fuck,chu? Do you really want me to eat or not?"

"Here" as jisoo handed her water "I didn't mean to"

"Oh really?" Jennie glared at her

"What will you do tho?" Jisoo asked

"When she comes back?"

"..." Jennie stopped eating her food and held into her chopstick "I — I don't know. Maybe ask her why she didn't pursue our divorce when her family's full of lawyers"

"You didn't attend a hearing about it?"

"Nope, I waited if there were follow up cases about it, I just recieved the papers without her sign on it. Maybe her parents already did the things to just end it there"

"You never contacted her parents?" Jisoo asked once again, It's rare to have Jennie answering questions about her former wife without the assistance of alcohol.

"No. I can't face them chu, I promised not to hurt their daughter and I did it anyway"

"We both know It wasn't your intention. Maybe if she just listened to you"

"Meh, whatever. She's gone now. What else can I do?"

"Point taken" Jisoo pointed out to Jennie while sipping her bobba tea "So, do you have any plans on meeting new people? Dates?"
