Chaeyoung woke up with the familiar small leg sprawled over her waist. She slowly turned her back to face the little figure who obviously doesn't have a sense of direction when sleeping. This child turns 360 degrees whenever she sleeps. The blonde lifted Jamie steadily to bring back her daughter's head on the pillow. That's when she remembered that they were currently in her old penthouse where she and Jennie used to live. She roamed her eyes around the room and noticed the light that slips from the curtain. It's probably late already thinking that Jennie already went out since the latter is nowhere to be seen in their bed. She slowly got up and secured pillows around her daughter before heading out of the room.

A smell of burnt pancakes,as she can guess, hits Chaeyoung's nose as she stepped outside the room. As expected,a stack of burnt pancakes was dump in the garbage and an annoyed face of her former ex-wife greeted her as she stood in the frame of the walkway to the kitchen.

It's just pancakes, why can't you do it right?! Again! The blonde heard the subtle complain from the CEO.

"Need some help with that?" Rosie announced as soon as she entered the kitchen area

Jennie, an ever timid person, jumped off her feet as soon as she heard the blonde's voice. She looked at Chaeyoung with her hand on her chest with the Are you fcking kidding me expression

"Sorry! I didn't mean to scare you!" Chaeyoung immediately went to Jennie's side to rub her back. "I totally forgot you get scared easily" as she continued sporting her apologetic smile

"You're lucky you're the other mother of our child" Jennie playfully glared at the taller woman

"I'm sorry...I swear, I didn't mean to"

"Didn't you see that I was too focused on not failing this pancake?"

"Hmmm, Yeah I clearly saw that. That's why I'm asking, Goodmorning by the way" as chaeyoung washed her hands and started helping the CEO with the mixture

"Goodmorning"Jennie greeted back "I just can't make it right" she continued and slumped her shoulders as she watch chaeyoung took over the kitchen

"I know you can cook, Jen"

"Well, I haven't cook for almost six years, so..." Jennie made her way around the kitchen counter and sat on one of the stool

"What? Why?" the blonde asked out of curiosity. She knew that the older woman knows how to cook well. They often look for cookbooks and try to cook it themselves or just Jennie making up her own recipe and of course, her ex-wife being a judge for it. Much to chaeyoung's likeness. It's food, so it's a check for her already plus Jennie cooks it so...

"I have no one to cook for..." Jennie answered nonchalantly not thinking that it hit Chaeyoung like a truck that the latter even stopped mixing the batter but was quick enough to rebutt

"Uhm, yourself?"

"Nah"

"Jen, I'm telling you this as a friend, you need to eat well and watch over your health. You look so thin compared before" the blonde commented

Friend.Ouch. "It's okay. Maybe I'll get back on track since Jamie's here already" Jennie thought for awhile "Anyway, What's your plan after this vacation? Are you going back to Melbourne?" Please say no

"I don't know yet...It depends on Jamie, really. I mean, for me, we already have a life there and Jamie barely speaks Korean so it still depends on her if she wanted to stay or not" As Chaeyoung started to cook the pancakes
