Exton's POV
My phone rang while I was watching television. It's Sunday.
Hindi ako pupunta kina Vien. Kahit gusto kong pumunta sa bahay nila, wala sila roon. Pumunta sila sa bahay ng tito nila. Also the stupid assholes aren't here. I don't know where the hell they are.
I saw Dad's number so I immediately answered it. Baka mamaya sigawan pa ako kung hindi ko sagutin.["Exton, come over here. I need you to do the report, update me tomorrow. I'll be out of town for days"]
He said and hung up the phone.
Tss, ni hindi man lang ako pinagsalita.
I tiredly stood up and took a shower before going to his office.
When I arrived there his secretary told me that the documents are at the mansion.
No choice, I drove my car at the mansion. Kung minamalas ka nga naman nandito pa ang magaling kong kapatid.
He's slouching at the sofa while handling beer in can.
"Hey, bro!" He greeted me but I just ignored him. "Am I ghost now" rinig ko pang sabi niya habang paakyat ako ng hagdan.
I went to dad's office to find that documents.
Halos 30 minutes na akong naghahalungkat, wala pa rin kaya tinawagan ko na lang ang secretary ni dad to ask.
Bakit ba nakalimutan kong tanungin siya kanina?
"Ms. Cruz, did he said what's the exact location where he put the documents?" I asked while reading a document, expecting that it's the one.
Binalik ko siya nang makitang last month pa ang report na yon.
["No, sir. He said just ask your brother"] she answered, I thanked her and ended up the call.
Bumababa ako, napairap naman ako nang walang pinagbago ang pwesto ng gago sa sofa.
Lumapit ako sa kaniya pero hindi ako nagsalita. Nakangiti siyang humarap sa akin pero inirapan ko nanaman siya.
Tss, he's so annoying.
"Bro!"
"Where's the documents?" pandederetso ko sa kaniya pero nagtatakha siyang tumingin sa akin.
"Documents of what?"
"Financial report" I said
"Oh, bro, I don't know eh" he scratched his ears and looked at me innocently.
I heaved a heavy sigh and trying to calm myself "Are you fuckers making fun of me?"
"Chill, wala naman akong alam sa mga pinagsasabi niyo." he pouted and opened another in can beer.
"Walang alam?! You're the one managing the business, yet you don't know anything?!" I shouted.
"Bro, look--"
"Stop bro-ing me, you stupid asshole! We're not even brothers!" muling sigaw ko sa kaniya. Napatayo siya bigla sa sinabi ko at seryosong tumingin.
Yes, he's my step brother. Anak siya ni Dad sa unang asawa niya.
Dad accidentally impregnated Mom while Clay's Mom and Dad are still together.
Namatay ang nanay ni Clay due to heart disease kaya pinanagutan nalang ni dad ang responsibilidad niya sa akin at kay Mom.
Pinanagutan niya lang kami para sa konsensiya niya.
