XXVIII- 5- HTP

She's also a family.

I can clearly see it. She's definitely one of them. Anyone can say and see it without a doubt.

I felt Cane's hand on the small of my back, naalis ang tingin ko kay Barb at napalipat sa kanya. He smiled at me before looking at his family. He cleared his throat, all their eyes were expectant. Mukha namang welcoming ang family niya.

There are two young boys who looks like in high-school, hindi niya masyadong hawig but they were both good looking then there's Blaire.. and Barb.

Then I met his mother's smiling eyes. She really looks very young for her age, and she seems nice. I just can't judge her by her past. People change, people make mistakes.. and besides, she welcomed me in her house tonight.

"This is Chandy.."

He's introducing me now.. kahit biglaan to at gusto ko siyang sipain kanina, iba padin sa pakiramdam.. this is a big step for me..

He's opening a part of his life to me..

"She's my—"

He wasn't able to finish his sentence when Blaire groaned, rolling her eyes. Lahat kami napatingin sa kanya. My smile fades, I wasn't really expecting for her reaction.. she seems nice the last time I met her..

"Blaire." Sita ng Mom nila.

"I'm just so hungry, pede bang mamaya na ang introduction?"

"Blaire." Her mom warned, I felt Cane's hand on my arms, gently squeezing it. Agad akong napalingon sa kanya. He's looking at her sister coldly, jaw clenching. Uh-oh.

The atmosphere suddenly felt heavy and dark, I don't like this.. so, I cleared my throat, catching all their attention. Damn me.

I smiled, "Okay lang po, it's really late na. Blaire's right, we should.. eat na."

Her mother blinked before looking at Hurricane, she smiled apologetically. "Okay, sige hija. Come here."

Agad akong inabot ng Mama nila bago kinawit ang braso sakin. "Sorry. I'll talk to my daughter, I promise."

I just smiled. Agad nauna sa dining table ang dalawang kapatid na lalaki ni Hurricane. Their house wasn't really that big, but it's very modern and homy. Napalingon ako para tignan sila Hurricane, mukhang pinag-sasabihan si Blaire.. and it looks like Barb's defending her.

"Oh, let them." Cane's mother said nang mapansing nakatingin ako kayna Hurricane kaya agad akong humarap sa kanya. "They're really like that, mahilig kasing pikunin ni Blaire ang kuya niya and Barb's always to the rescue. Heavens, I tell you I don't know what to do sa kanilang dalawa without Barbara." She said smiling.

I.. I don't know what to say on that..

"Ate, upo ka." One of the boys offered kaya napatingin ako sa kanila. I smiled as I sit on the chair he pointed.

"Thank you."

"Alex po name ko, eto po si Allen." He pointed out don sa mukhang mas bata. They were both smiling widely.

"Nice to meet you."

"Ang ganda mo, ate." Nahihiyang sabi ni Allen. Mas lumawak ang ngiti ko sa sinabi niya. Somehow, nabawasan ang worry ko dahil sa naging reaction ni Blaire kanina.

"Thank you."

Siniko ni Alex si Allen, bumulong. "Sumbong kita kay kuya, sinabihan mong maganda girlfriend niya."

Agad nanlaki ang mata ni Allen, parang biglang natakot. Napatingin ako sa Mama nila na tumawa lamang, mukhang sanay na sa dalawa.

Iimik pa sana si Allen nang pumasok sa dining area sila Hurricane. They all looked like in a foul mood pero nang mag-tama ang tingin namin ngumiti siya bago tumabi sakin.
