The castle is bustling with people and Taehyung and I even have to stand in line in order to get in through the front doors. It's been over a year since either of us was last here. There simply hasn't been any reason for us to return until now. It'd be pretty rude if we didn't attend Jungkook's wedding after we got invited. I wasn't sure if he'd want either of us here, but since it's such a big event it's pretty obvious that his cousin should be invited at least. I could've just joined as Taehyung's plus one, but to my surprise I got my very own invitation. I suppose Jungkook isn't mad at me anymore. It's been a long time after all.
The ballroom has been decorated from top to bottom with balloons and flowers to make it as pretty as humanly possible. It's absolutely gorgeous. This is where the ceremony will take place. Taehyung holds my hand as we walk to one of the rows in the front where the family will sit. We end up sitting right behind the king and queen, so we'll have a good view of the couple once they arrive.
As we wait for it to start, I notice Taehyung looking at something across the room. I take a peek and a couple rows back my eyes land on Jimin happily chatting with someone I don't recognize.
"Who's that?" I whisper and Taehyung seemingly snaps out of his daze.
"I'm pretty sure that's his boyfriend," he answers. "I barely recognized him since he looks so stylish. Last time we met he was some kind of gangster, but I guess he might've changed for the better."
I nod in understanding and I don't get time to ask anything else as the people quiet down when Jungkook walks up to the altar. It's been a while, but he looks just like I remember him. He looks great in his black suit and from the way he fidgets a bit I can tell he's nervous. It's understandable. It's his big day after all.
Before long the music starts playing and everyone looks back to see the beautiful bride entering in her white dress. It's such a magical moment and time passes in a blur. The two of them look amazing together and what's even better is that they look so happy. There's no denying that Jungkook made a good choice.
Before I know it they're saying their vows and I can't focus on what they're saying because Taehyung leans in to whisper in my ear.
"Next time it'll be us standing up there," he says.
"I know," I whisper back to him. "I can't wait."

After the ceremony the newly wedded couple stands by the door to thank all the guests for their attendance. Since we sat so close to the front we end up being among the last ones out. As we get closer to them I feel how strange it is to meet Jungkook in such a formal setting. He was always so keen on being casual around me, but I guess it's a bit hard to be casual during this occasion.
Taehyung starts off by shaking the bride's hand and I follow close after.
"Thank you for coming," she says with a blinding smile. I can't help but to think Jungkook is lucky to have gotten such a kind and lovely wife.
I see Taehyung and Jungkook shaking hands and thankfully Jungkook smiles at him like he's done with everyone else. I'm relieved all the tension is gone between them. He has no reason to be mad at Taehyung anymore. This is the beginning of a new chapter for him.
I'm next to shake hands with him and he greets me in the exact same way he's greeted everyone else before me.
"Thank you so much for coming. It means a lot to me."
That's it. No other signs of recognition. I'm a bit relieved by it actually. This means he's finally let me go once and for all. I'm just one of the people in the crowd like it should be. He lets go of my hand to talk to the next person and I walk up to Taehyung who was waiting for me. He takes my hand and leads me outside to the open air.
"Ready to go home?" he asks.
"We're not staying for the dinner?"
"Oh, please, we'll be stuck for hours if we do that. Let's just order pizza or something."
I chuckle at him.
"As always you have no patience."
"No, I don't that's why I got you this."
He digs around in his pocket before discreetly sliding a ring onto my finger. I don't even have time to properly look at it before he pulls me into his arms. I rest my chin on his shoulder since he has no plans on letting me go just yet.
"Now it's official. You're not going anywhere without me," he says.
"Just like I want it then."
I feel the ring with my thumb and even though it's just an accessory it still makes me so happy with its meaning. Taehyung really does love me. He wants to spend his entire life with me and I'll be more than happy to do it. It's how we were always destined to be. I wouldn't want it any other way.
