Friday

I woke up and I walk to the bridge and back, the fresh crisp morning air smelt good. It took me forty five minutes there and back. I have a shower and come downstairs to see Alex eating cereal.

"Where were you?"

I told him I went for a walk he looks at the clock on the microwave, "Cassie it's six-thirty, you need to be careful anything could have happen to you".

"It's summer it's light out I'm fine", I tell him.

"Cassie you see how the world is people are wicked, how about you and I go for a run before dinner tonight".

I tell him that's fine and make myself a cup of tea. Alex dishes me out eggs and bacon, and add two slices of bread to my plate. I eat and he watches me eat. Alex leaves for work and I ask Abbey if she can help me make couple fresh pizza crust, she says yes and we make them.

"Did you know about my mum seeing my dad I ask her?"

"I only found out yesterday they've been sneaky about it, I knew she was seeing someone, not that he was your dad. I take it you guys don't get on".

"Understatement of that century that", I say to her.

"He's a wicked man, masquerading as a good man", I fell her.

"Did he hit you?" she ask me.

I say nothing and start cutting up vegetables to put on the pizza. After she leaves I go to the village shop to get the meats for the pizza and cheese.  I go home and get the kitchen knife and place it on my wrist. Then I realised if I cut there Alex and everyone else will see it. So I stop and make to cut my stomach with a razor instead, but it hits me sex may happen later and Alex will notice a fresh cut.

I go and ask uncle Fred if he needs a hand in the garage he owns he says yes. So I change into some overalls and get to work. Apart from working on the cars, I could accidentally on purpose hurt myself while I was there and no one was the wiser. 

I finish up for the day feeling great Fred offered to pay me I was going to say no. Then I remember what he said about my dad so I took the money. I had another eight weeks till I started my actual job, he ask me if I wanted to work there for the rest of the summer I said sure.

I though my mum would come and see me and say she made a mistake yesterday but she didn't. She saw me working at the garage and wave but I didn't wave back.
