Clues

Alex went to the train station to pick Lucy up in a new Range Rover we bought for her to use. There was a tracker on it and lots of little gadgets that the company that we have been using for security recommended.

We also have a new security guy starting full-time with us name James Watson. There were a few rooms in the converted basement two of which we use occasionally as a bedroom. There was also a shower room and living room down there and because there was room for him we had him move in. The company he works for was use to dealing with high net individuals. Alex and I knew James would protect our family.

I was grateful to know Alex's siblings they really knew how to dot the eyes and cross the T's. When it came to business and where to go for the best people.

I help James move his stuff into the basement. There was another guy Drew Abraham working along side him but he was part-time for now.

I hear the front door open, "We're home", shouts Alex. I see Lucy she was about five-foot six and slim with blonde shoulder length hair and green eyes.

"Lucy it's good to see you again, how was the train journey?"

I help Alex to take her suitcase to her new room then we show her around the house. While she tells us about her journey on the train.

We show her Miles room and leave her there to get acquainted with her new home. Later we were all sitting down having a cup of tea when the doorbell rang. It was mum and Teddy we introduced James and Lucy to them.

Friday

Lucy starts work today we gave her yesterday off so she could sort herself out and familiarise her self with her new surroundings. Alex and I wanted to wet the baby's head today and since we have Lucy now. We went for a meal at a nice restaurant then went to the movies afterwards.

We collected our shopping from Waitrose on the way back home.

We unload the groceries and check on Miles. He was fussing I realised it was a diaper change he needed and told Lucy that I would do it. I clean him up and change him. Alex then fed Arthur afterwards we spend some time with him in the nursery till he fell asleep.

We visit mum in the pub I had a pint of Guinness and Alex had a non alcoholic wine. He was going into work to sort through some paperwork tomorrow and needed a clear head. We wet the baby's head and James drove us to Becca's school to pick her up.

At the weekend she was allowed one fast food treat. Becca wanted KFC so we went to the drive through and got a large bucket of chicken. I have to say I really missed the biscuits you get in America at KFC they were delicious. Heck who am I kidding Popeyes chicken is better that our KFC.

We get home and Alex put the chicken in the oven to crisp up a bit and get warm. James, Alex, Becca, Lucy and I were sat at the dining table tucking into the food. Since James and Lucy were live in staff we had to provide food for them. It was nice to see the contrast of people in front of me compare to couple days ago.

Saturday

Alex left for work early so I decided after breakfast to go for a walk to the park with Miles. Diary it was a great decision it was wonderful we stay for several hours then went to a vegan restaurant Becca wanted to try.

When we arrive back home there was mail I open up the first letter to see it was a white piece of paper with I'm still watching you written on it. The message was glue on to the paper. Someone had cut out letters from magazines and newspapers.

Drew was at the house when we left for the park but did hear or see anything suspicious. I show him and James the letter and call the police to report the incident. We had cameras all around the property so we look through the footage but apart from people walking by only the postman came to our door. 

There was a Bolton postmark on the letter so we had evidence to give the police. I expected the police to give us a crime number over the phone. To my surprise they came by and dust down the door and took the letter with them. They told us they will get in touch if they find anything out.

I'm convince this is all Amy's doing I bet she's still upset and bitter over her boyfriend not wanting her anymore.

I didn't let the day get me down Becca and I started prepping dinner. We still had meals that Nick and Abbey made us. We made a salad and garlic bread along with a homemade tomato sauce to go with the baked pasta and chicken.

Becca said she was scared I assured her that James will be dropping her off and picking her up from school from now on. I told her if she went out with friends James or Drew will be there making sure she was safe. We make Drew a full-time employee.

Monday

Today is my first day back at work in a month some people congratulated me on my son's birth. Others loudly complain how I seem to be getting special treatment. Or how they had to step in and go see my clients. I'm not going to lie some of my colleagues pissed me off today with the constant complaining. They're so childish instead of saying it to my face they behave like five year olds.

I walked into the mansion incredibly happy to be home. "There's a message on the machine from Katie", says Alex.

I ask James to take Becca to mum's place then I press play when she was no longer in the house, "Look someone did pay me to not give you the baby. They wanted me to have an abortion or accident. They sweeten the deal by arranging a job with one of their father's friend company. They gave me a big salary to come and work in the uk. and to get under your skin. Unfortunately my shadow managed to get a job there too tell me Alex, Cassie how did you manage that. Anyway my benefactor couldn't see me as often as they would like. They did find out you hired bodyguards to secretly watch me. She got very angry and threatened my family back home. The truth is you were suppose to be a con job that got complicated. I still don't believe in your lifestyle I standby everything I said to you.

I ran back to America hoping that an ocean between me and the fruitcake who doesn't like you would end our deal. They're now demanding I pay back what they spent on me all of it. My brother is now in a wheelchair for life. It was them letting me know they need their money. I need half a million pounds not dollars. I need you to give me the money as soon as possible".

The tape ends, "Is this bitch for real we're not returning her call", I say to Alex.

"A normal person would have gone to the police not people they tried to scam for money", says Alex.

"The message needs to be handed over to the police says Drew".

James comes back in the house, "If I didn't know better I would think she was reading from prepared notes". I realised diary Drew was right.

I'm positive now Amy is involved in all this.
