Resurrected from the dead and armed with his cybernetic enhancements, Jack Ryder tracks down the killers responsible for his death, only to find out about a more sinister plan that poses a threat to mankind.
"Jack what do you mean it's all a lie?" "I'll explain more when we return...." "We?" "Yeah, he knew I came to kill him so I spared him." " Yeah my name is Josh, if you want to know...." He stopped for a second then spoke again: "Um Jack? Why do you have something on your forehead?"
He looked at the mirror in front of him: "Shit. GET DOWN!!!" Just as he finished the sentence , a bullet flew right past his face into the glass. He ducked behind the trash next to Josh: "You said that they won't notice our masks", he said mockingly as he was shooting back at them: "Shit man they're coming from everywhere." "You shut up it's all because of those stupid masks. Karen we need air support. Just.... fire randomly!!" "Roger that.... take cover" "Where??!!" He looked at the dumpster, then looked at Josh. He was processing his 'genius' idea: "That's not gonna work.... Run inside, I'll follow you!. He could hear the Osprey's engine coming closer. He ran inside as fast as he could, while shooting at the snipers to provide cover for himself. It was only a matter of seconds he got inside, then Karen started firing at the army. He could hear the explosions happening outside. The screaming echoeing through his hears. He covered them trying to block the sounds from entering his head again.
It wasn't until a minute that the firing stopped. Josh heard the plane land next to the massacre: "Man you okay? We can go now, it's safe....... Jack?" He removed his hands, and looked outside. Making sure there wasn't a threat outside, all he could see was Karen, a smile on her face, waving at them. They walked to her: "This is the guy?" "Yup..." He was walking towards her to introduce himself: "Josh, pleasured to...." She teases him, knocking him down: "Jesus!" "What? You should already know how we 'kidnap' someone, we've done it a thousand times with you. It's safer for us." "And do you think I enjoyed every time?" "I'm sure you did. Now use all your mechanical strength to put him in the thing...." "Just a second" He went over the corpses to identify them: "Shit. Those were not just the army." He held on of them up close: "Thought so. Those were Interpol and..." He heard a noise not far away from him. Someone was still alive: "Leave that to me."
And without hesitation, he punches him on the face knocking him unconscious: "Look at you, learning from the best." He took his soldier tag: "FEMA" "So should we leave?" "Yeah, I think it's time to go..."
Another seven hour went by and they arrived to their "secret hideout". They were greeted by John and a small group of fighters. Without talking to anyone, he handed him the flash drive and went inside: "What's wrong with him?" "They got attacked by FEMA and interpol, with the Chinese army."
She leaned closer to him and whispered in his ear: "Whatever this is. It's bigger than all of us. Oh, and we've got a package for you inside there." she tells him as she enters the hideout.
John went inside into the lab. He hands Zack the drive: "Open it. I want to know everything about David..." In the mean time Jack was taking a shower. He was still holding the soldier's tag in his hand when he heard Karen's voice: "Jack you in here?" "Yeah!" "When you finish, John wants to talk to you."
He turns off the water, dries himself and walks outside the bathroom. They were all waiting for him: "What's wrong?" They all looked at the ground in silence. Then John spoke: "Listen Jack, there was nothing we could have done to save him." He looked at the room where they left Josh in. He ran inside, only to see the lifeless body of Josh. His head was in a corner, his body was in another corner. Blood was coming out of his neck: " They implanted an explosive device in his neck. We couldn't help him..." "Shit man. Who are these people John? What do they want?"
They all gathered around Zack, waiting for him to open the files: "Jack you know these files better than me. Where do we start?" " What about these augs files? Who are they?" " I have no idea. One of them is already deployed. The other one is in active development..." "Wait... You mean there's another agent working for them? And he's already out there?"
"Yeah but that's not what's important.... What caught my eyes was these four files..." He points to family, classified, cro75 and gho5t files. They started with cro75. It contained an email which he read sit out loud:
"From: David To: Damon Hello mister Damon , We are eagerly waiting for you to finish your personal touch on cronos. Which will be online by the end of this month. Our first Shockwave did disable half of the subjects with augments, we are still working on the chip and started selling it to VLife. Those who can't afford the transplant will die. As for the others, they'll live for a special surprise. "
When he finished reading the mail, he continued scrolling down till he reached the end of the file. There was nothing left. He closes the file and opens another one.
"Gho5.t"
There was nothing in it. "How strange..." "David is a strange man, why would he put an empty folder?" "Let's just get over with this, it's been a long day for me..."
They continued browsing the remaining files. It was families: "What is it?" he asks Zack "I don't know. Seems like they are just photos of his family. But why would he hide them in this file?" Inside the file were a bunch of photos of David and his family. "I remember him telling me stories about his family. These were took on their last vacation... You know, before they died. Maybe that's why he locked them in this file."

"How many files does he have?? What's in this?" "I don't know I was attacked before I could finish browsing them."
Before they were able to open any of them, the monitor shut down. It turned on again, showing only a logo. It was strange, two horns that met in the middle. With two tentacles coming out of each way: "The hell is happening??" Suddenly they hear a voice coming from within the monitor. It was a deep voice:
"Jack Ryder John Jones Sarah Kyle Karen Reed And the rest of the resistance. We know who you are. We know where you are. You can't stop US . We were watch everything... You can't stop the doomsday clock."
A timer appears on the screen:
"02:08:30:00"
"Shut it off Zack!!" he screamed. "I can't!! It's not working!!!" Then everything shut down: "Did it work? Is it still...." Suddenly a huge explosion occurs. It blew a hole in the building that they were in. The roof collapsed on them. Jack ran to Sarah : "SARAH!!" He pushed her just in time before a piece of the roof collapsed on him. It hit Jack and knocked him down: "Jack??" "You think he can help you?" It was a familiar voice. She looked up and saw him. IT WAS HIM!! : "DAVID!??"
