2047:The Revolution Begins (Book#1 Of The Ryder-Verse) COMPLETE

Chapter 15

Black smoke was coming out.
"What happened?"
"They killed her John. He killed her."
"Oh God. I know what you're thinking and how mad you are. But you have to focus on your mission, stop whatever's happening. We'll send a team to the wreckage."

He entered the now abandoned building :
"It's like a desert here."
"Help us... Help... us...."

There were a few employees that were hiding in the shadows. One of them screamed with all his might before jumping on Jack. They all followed him, as they tried to fight Jack. Punching him, kicking him, trying to tackle him to the ground. He dodges it. He holds one of them by the neck, throws him on another one.

A woman came running at him. He shoots his grappling hook at her and sticks her to the wall. Two more came rushing towards him:
"Fuck off!"
He slaps both of them to the Ground. When he looked around and saw everyone unconscious on the ground. He was about to enter the elevator until the woman let out a scream. She was begging him for help: "Please... End... This..."
He nodded and entered the elevator:
"John I'm in the elevator. Got distracted by a few... Employees... John, some of them knew what they were doing. Some are conscious some are not. I have to end this."

"When you arrive at the top, you should see a staircase to the roof.
Take out this tower to stop the signal."
"Okay I'm half way through...."
The elevator stops and a voice starts talking to him:
"Not so fast mr. Ryder."
"Who are you? Why are you doing this?"
There was a moment of silence. Than he spoke again:
"You know your organisation killed some of my friends. I won' t go easy on you and your people."
The voice lets out a small chuckle:
"Only if you stay alive..."
A small, explosion like phenomenon shakes the elevator, turning it into a death trap. It detached from one of the cables, rotating mid air. He shoots the glass, activates his speed enhancements and jumps to the next floor, just in time as the elevator detaches completely from the cables and falls on the first floor:
"Jesus that's high"

Still with his speed enhancement activated, he reaches the rooftop as fast as he could. He could still hear the gunshots happening between the police and the revolutionist. It was dark, the black smoke was covering the sunbeam, like an eclipse. As he walks closer to the machine, he hears a strange sound from above him, like the sky cracked open. A black figure flew came down from the sky, landing in front of him. It had mechanical wings, fully armored suit. The strange man detached himself from his wings. He ejects two blade like expansions from his prosthetic hands. The ground shook beneath him as the giant man walked towards him. He immediately recognized him, the man, that kidnapped Sarah from HQ:
"Mr. Jack, we finally meet."
"You're... bigger than I thought you were..."

They ran at each other at full speed. The man started punching the him on his side. He blocks most of them with his arms, kicks him in the stomach and pushing him away from him. The giant takes out a machine gun from his hands:
" What the fuck? "
He started shooting at him. Luckily he ducks behind a cover just in time as the bullets flew right pass him.

"Jack I'm still hearing terrible news on TV. Are you going to end this?"
" I'm a little busy John!!"
"Oh I know... Just telling you to hurry up"
"Thanks man!"
He hears something weird. It was nothing, absolutely nothing, just Silence. He got up , still holding his gun, aiming it towards the other one. He was reloading, so he quickly ran at him, slides under him and hits one of his prosthetic legs. He punshed so hard that he temporarily disabled it.

Strange liquid started pouring out of him. He jumps on his back and starts punching him on his head. The giant man walks slowly to the ledge, still fighting Jack, until he walked off the ledge. Next thing they knew, they were both fighting each other mid air:
"WHERE ARE THEY??!! THE PEOPLE YOU'RE WORKING FOR, WHERE ARE THEY?!"

He shoots his grappling hook through a window, and swings his way inside the building. There was a moment of silence, then Aug2 flew right in:
"Shit!!"
He flew straight at him, throwing him at the wall to the other room. He jumps at Jack and hits him with all his strenght. He headbutt him, grabs him by his throat :

"YOU'LL NEVER FIND THEM!!"

He throws Jack into one of the pillars, and knocks him unconscious, then he drags him back to the broken window . He puts him on the ledge and was about to throw him off, when he wakes up he takes out his gun and shoots Aug2 in his chest. He screams as the dark liquid poured out of him, exploding in Jack's face. He quickly takes advantage of his weakness, and without thinking of it, he shoots his hook inside the hole and with all his strength, he lifts him from his place and dangles him outside the window. He grabs him by the head, look him dead in the eyes :

"I'll never stop looking."
before throwing him out the window.
He screams as he was falling to his death. He was cleaning his face from the strange liquid that came out of Au2, when the man exploded. The explosion shook the entire building. Some of the pillars were destroyed, and the building started to collapse.
"My dream!! This is what I've been seeing!"

But there's a way to change it's course :

"Icarus"
He remembers the machine that Au2 used to get here. He runs to it, connects it to his neuro hub and, without hesitation, without thinking twice about what he's about to do, he jumps out of the window. And to his surprise, it actually worked!

He flew away from the collapsing building. He looks back once more and this was it. The building, alongside the tower and everything else, collapsed.
He flies to the empire state building to rest after this fight and wait for John to call back. He waited.....

"John??"
"Jack! You ended it!! Not only you stopped it here but across the globe. But I have three things to tell you.
One, we have no idea what's the result of this event. Two, my friend called. Said that he located Sarah in an old warehouse downtown.
And three, an anonymous person wanted to speak directly to you. He left us his number : (555) 3852072."
"Okay...."
He calls the number, and an anonymous voice picks up:
"Well. Looks like it failed at killing you."
"Who are you?"
"I thought you already knew who I was"
"Tony!!"
"Listen very carefully Jack..."
There was a moment of silence, then he heard screamings of someone, like they were being tortured. It was Sarah:
" Son of a bitch!!"
"Stand down Jack, or you'll have to search for her body in the lake!"
"Jack continue stalling him. We are trying to triangulate his position."
He proceeds:

"You listen to me carefully, no matter how hard you try to hide, I'll come find you, and when I do, you'll only wish you were dead."
"You're too late Jack, it has already begun . You can't stop it. But tell me something... Have you entered the Titan? You know how this ends..."
He hangs up:
"Did you get him?"
"Sadly no.  But what's he talking about? What did you see in Titan?"

He poses for a minute, thinking about what to say to John :
"I die John.... I die while saving Sarah...."
"...... Shit man. What are you going to do?"
He thaught for a minute, and then said:

"Where did you say the warehouse was?"....

The end is near. Jack will have to save Sarah at all cost....even if he loses his.
