21. Drunken Meals

Previously (Cheryl's POV): "Anyways I came here to say I'm sorry."
"You're sorry?" I laughed
"Yes. I fully accept who you are." She stated
"You mean?" I questioned
"With Topaz. I may or may not have swooped Nana Rose's mail one morning and realised that I wasn't thinking right." My mother continued
"You threatened Toni's family when you first saw us together and now you're just what.. letting us be?" I asked
"Yup." Penelope hesitated

Toni's POV:
Cheryl and I were full on making out against the lockers, we might have went against what we said.
"We've got to work on that assignment for class now." Cheryl pulled away
"Hah. Wonder what they're thinking now that we're paired up for everything." I said
"I'm still worried about my mother though." Cheryl stated
"She would've done something by now, it's been 2 weeks Cheryl. Don't worry about it." I smiled
"Okay.." Cheryl trailed off

???'s POV:
"The hell." I said to Archie
"What?" Archie responded
"They're gross, don't you think." I pointed at Cheryl and Toni
"Are you serious? No!" Archie began getting angry
"But they're like.. two girls?" I questioned
"So what! It's perfectly fine." Archie replied
"No it's not!" I yelled back
"Fine. If you're not open to it, whatever. But keep you're opinions to yourself you homophobe." Archie walked away
Archie was a goodie two shoes. I don't know why ??? asked me to record the conversation.
"Well there you go, told you he wouldn't betray her." I said to the microphone hidden in my jacket.

Cheryl's POV:
(After school)
Kevin, Archie and I were sat around Kevin's living room just talking about stuff.
"Now that Cheryl and Toni are out there's a lot more homophobes around." Archie stated
"I know, it's disgusting" Kevin said and I nodded my head
"Anyways I'll always support both of you" Archie said
"Thanks Arch." I smiled
"Hey we've talked a lot about us today, how's Veronica?" Kevin asked
"She's good. Her dad still hates me though." Archie rolled his eyes
"How badly?" I questioned
"When I knocked at the door I saw him peeking through the hole in the door and then he just walked away and said 'There's nobody here!'"
(Hiram hasn't tried to kill Archie sending him to an underground boxing ring in this)
"That's rough" I said
"It's a sacrifice I'm willing to make" Archie smiled
"Aww" Kevin replied and we all laughed
"What do you guys want for dinner?" Mr Keller said walking down the stairs
"Oh no Mr Keller I won't stay" Archie responded
"Come on Archie! I'll ring your mother." he said
Kevin and I smiled at him
"Alright.." Archie gave in
"Woo!" he cheered and we all laughed once again.

Toni's POV:
"Do you think that like.. when people are dead they're like not really dead because they're alive in the underworld or overworld?" Sweetpea slurred
"We can't let him get drunk on a school night again." Fangs said
"No shit." I replied
"Toni's happy" Jughead remarked
"You know he's going to start throwing up soon." I stated
"I know." Jughead replied
"Why was Sweetpea at the Wyrm anyways?" Fangs questioned
"Veronica actually called me saying he was there randomly and Josie and her saw him. Apparently Josie and Sweetpea got drunk but Veronica didn't." I responded
"Hm. Anyways whatever. Let's just support Mr. Not So Sober Sweetpea" Jughead said and everyone else nodded

The next day

Toni's POV:
"Apparently Penny was bailed." Jughead told me
"What about the rest of the Ghoulies?" I asked
"They weren't bailed." Jughead responded
"But who would pay it?" I questioned
"Her family?" Jughead replied, confused
"I wasn't aware she had any. She never mentioned anything." I stated
"Hm. Doesn't concern us anyways, as long as the Ghoulies are gone we'll have heaps of time to prepare for whatever Penny is planing." Jughead smiled and I smiled back.

I then went over to Sweetpea's trailer and saw him waking up.
"Sweets, here's some pain relief"
"What why?- Owww" he scratched his head and drank some water with it.
"Good. Now want me to make you breakfast?" I asked
"Sure. But what's the catch?" He asked as he received a phone call. I gestured for him to take it and I whispered that I would tell him after. So he answered.

Cheryl's POV:
It was Saturday again. I called Toni and talked to her for a bit, we did this every weekend if we weren't going to see eachother. Until she had to go help Sweetpea. Veronica had told me about this actually, apparently he kissed Josie. I'm happy Sweetpea found someone.. which meant my debt to him was paid.

"Hey Sweetpea" I said over the phone
"Cheryl? I'm literally suffering a major hangover. You were just talking to Toni."
"I'm not calling for my girlfriend I'm calling to say my debt is paid and I owe you nothing."
"What do you mean-"
"You'll figure it out. Toodles!" I hung up

I walked downstairs to see Fangs and Kevin cuddled on the couch.
"This could've been you and Toni but she lost the bet." Fangs teased
"I know. She told me" I rolled my eyes at him
About half an hour later Toni came over with some homemade pancakes. We exchanged a brief kiss on the cheek greeting and she placed them on the kitchen counter.
"I was just about to make breakfast! Thanks TT!"
"No problem. I made some for Sweetpea and made him not eat the leftovers to give to you." Toni smiled and I laughed. Kevin and Fangs looked over at the pancakes and before they could say anything
"Don't even think about it Fangs!" Toni stated and Fangs put his arms up in retreated while Kevin went back to his original position. "They're for you babe. Enjoy." Toni once again smiled and I smiled back
"You might aswell stay, or does Sweetpea need it?" I questioned
"Nah. I'll call Josie." Toni said
"So you heard?" I smirked
"I've heard a lot of things, what?" Toni asked
"Josie and Sweetpea." I responded
"Of course. Veronica explained it." Toni laughed and I joined in.
"WHAT!" Kevin and Fangs said in union and we both laughed harder

A/N: Hi, sorry this took forever to update! I'm back at school. I wanted another development (sort of) chapter just so things aren't rushed like I did with Chapter 9. I also started another book (which is not really a book) called "Riverdale Season 5 Discussions" where i'll be updating every Australian Saturday the news for the week and opinions or whatever!
