Five stared in shock at her story, not knowing how to react. While she had just shared her whole backstory with him, there was a lingering feeling in his body that told him that she wasn't telling the whole truth. But seeing how she looked as if she was about to break down, Five didn't press the story any further.
"I know what you're probably thinking of me right now. You think I'm a monster."
Five stared wide eyed at the girl next to him, wondering how she could ever think he thought she was a monster.
"What? No! No, why would you think I could ever think that about you? You did what you had to do to save the others. You fought against a serum that was killing you and still managed to use your powers to take him down! And you found a new power!" Five exclaimed.
The girl looked away from him, tears filling the corner of her eyes but not yet falling.
"Bloodbending." (Y/n) mumbled under her breath.
"Hmm?"
"That's what it was called. Its controlling the water in another person's body. I can feel their blood flow, their veins, their whole body in one liquidy mess. I can feel everything about them. To have that type of power... it scares me."
Five held her face in his hands.
"Then you don't have to use it. It doesn't have to be used as much as the main elements but maybe... just use it under extreme circumstances." Five offered as she nodded in reply.
"The name is pretty badass, though." Five grinned and (Y/n) lightly punched his shoulder, a small smile forming on her face.
"There's that lovely smile."
Her cheeks flared up as the word repeated in her mind. Lovely. He called her smile lovely. The word alone made her emotions go all out of wack. She was just about to break down crying and now she was laughing and smiling a bit. Five was always able to cheer her up or make her feel better one way or another.
"Avatar: The Last Airbender got it right, they pretty much created it after me a few years after dear old Reggie told the world about us." She informed.
But Five looked at her, confused. "What's that?"
The girl stared at him in shock.
"We have a lot to catch you up on."
The aura around them became less tense and not as depressing as it felt before. Softly, Five conjoined their hands together once more.
"You know, you're the strongest out of all of us. No wonder you're Number Eight."
She let out a short laugh, the fresh tears finally flowing down her cheeks as she just couldn't hold it in anymore. She bent over the seat and brought Five into a hug, wrapping her arms around his neck. He immediately returned it, smiling to himself like an idiot.

"Number Eight," Reginald called, walking into the room. The girl stood in the middle of it, a nervous expression on her face. A black cat sat in front of her, meowing.
"I want you to move the cat. Make him stand." He commanded.
"No. I don't want to hurt it." She protested, shaking her head at her father.
"You must learn to control this power, Number Eight. It is an incredible skill. Now," The man nodded his head to the cat on the floor. "Make the cat stand."
