As the marauders confidently walked into the great hall, I turned my attention back to Lily. 'Do we ignore them? Or do we talk to them?' I whispered. 'Just wait and see if they talk to us y/n, if they do we'll talk to them if they don't, just leave them' Lily shrugged. To no one's surprise, the marauders sat down right next to Lily and I, Sirius at my right and Peter at my left. While James sat on Lily's Left and Remus on her right. James instantly turned to Lily and started whispering to her. I couldn't hear what he was saying but Lily smiled a few times so it must've been something good. 'Y/n, can I have a word with you outside the great hall please?' I turned to Sirius as he spoke. 'Alright Black, this better not be you asking me out again though!' I scowled playfully. 'I promise it isn't, come with me.' He took my hand in his and lead me out of the great hall.
When we were stood outside his stormy grey eyes met my e/c ones. He looked down at me with a guilty expression on his face. 'Y/n, I wanted to say I'm really sorry for what James and I did to Snivellous. It was wrong of us and we know that. Usually it's only harmless pranks but we heard him plotting with his Death Eater wannabe friends and just-' the boy stopped as I cut him off 'Sirius, calm down. It's okay. I'm not angry with you so take a breath. If I'm being completely honest, I quite enjoyed watching him being suspended in the air, I was only defending him because Lily was there.' I shrugged. Sirius took both of my hands in his and began rubbing his thumb over my knuckles. 'So I'm forgiven?' He locked eyes with me again after talking. If I was being honest, his eyes were the most beautiful eyes I'd ever seen but if I let him know I thought that, his ego would be even more inflated than it already is. 'Of course you're forgiven' I said with a smile. Sirius had a huge grin on his face, not one of his cocky grins but just a genuine grin of happiness. All of a sudden, Sirius pulled me into a bear hug, squeezing me tightly. 'I was really scared you wouldn't forgive me..' he mumbled into my hair. 'Sirius...can't......breath...!' I stuttered since Sirius was squeezing me so tightly. 'Oh Merlin I'm sorry!' He released me from the hug and took my hand. 'Thank you for accepting my apology.' He smiled as he raised my hand to his lips and kissed it in a very gentleman like way. I felt the heat slowly creeping onto my cheeks as we reentered the great hall. 'You two were a while..' James raised an eyebrow at Sirius, it was obvious they spoke about the apology but James had thought Sirius would've been quicker than he was.
'Yeah, yeah shut up Prongs. Lily, could I have a word with you quickly? It won't be as long as I took with y/n I promise!' Sirius asked. Lily turned to me as if asking what he wanted but I just tilted my head towards the door. Lily then got up and followed Sirius. 'What now Sirius?' I heard her say before exiting the hall. 'So, y/n I just wanted to say that-' James started but I cut him off. 'Yeah, I know. You want to apologise for what you did and I accept. It was pretty funny I won't lie. I never liked Severus. I only defended him for Lily's sake to be perfectly honest.' I shrugged. James shot me a smirk and then spoke 'Thanks y/n, not only for accepting my apology but proving how cool you are yet again by surprising me with your hatred for Severus!' James laughed. I tried my best not to laugh with him but I couldn't help it. 'You know, your laugh is contagious Potter, it's strange.' I said between laughs. Just as I spoke, Sirius sat back down next to me, slinging his arm around me as usual. 'So, Diggory. Since you forgave me for my stupid behaviour, can we go on a date before Hogsmeade and have Hogsmeade as our second date?' He smirked. 'Dream on Black. I said one date, not two.' I laughed. Sirius slid his arm off my shoulder and clutched at his shirt where his heart is. 'Ouch! Rejection hurts yknow!' He said sarcastically.
We all finished up dinner, we walked to the common room together. 'Balderdash' Remus said as the portrait swung open. I sat down in my usual spot on the couch. I was joined by Lily one my left and Sirius, of course, on my right. James sat down next to Lily. James and Sirius exchanged a smirk as James snaked his arm around Lily and Sirius did the same to me. Lily moved James' arm the second he did it but I, for some reason, let Sirius' arm remain there. 'Pads, I got my arm pushed off but you get to keep yours there? Now I'm starting to understand why you're known as the 'Ladies Man' of Hogwarts' James laughed. Sirius glared at James as he tightened his grip on my shoulder. The portrait swung open again and Marlene walked in. 'Alright everyone' she smiled. Marlene walked around and sat in front of the couch. When she saw Sirius' arm wrapped around me, she scowled at me. I tensed up when she did which just made Sirius pull me closer to him. Because of how close he pulled me, I ended up resting my head on his shoulder. 'Black. You move on quickly.' Marlene stated, rolling her eyes. When Sirius heard her words, he almost went to get up but I decided to burry my face into the crook of his neck to keep him from shouting at Marlene.
'Look at this! For the first time ever, Padfoot is blushing!' Peter exclaimed. Sirius and I were cooed at a bit before I sat up again. I think it's safe to say my face was more red than his at this point. The part that worried me most was the look Marlene was giving me. If looks could kill, I would've died. As we sat and talked for the next couple of hours, I began to fall asleep. Slowly, everyone headed to their dorms one by one. First it was Peter who was followed by Remus, then it was Marlene and Lily then James headed off leaving Sirius and I in the common room alone.
I woke up about 10 minutes after everyone left. I was resting against Sirius' shoulder with my arm draped over him. 'Sirius I'm so sorry! Merlin I can be so stupid!' I jumped off of Sirius, turning more red than my school tie. 'It's no trouble y/n, you're quite adorable when you sleep yknow.' Sirius gave one of his signature winks. When I say my face was redder than a tomato , I mean it! 'I'm sorry if I kept you up, I'm just really' I paused to yawn 'tired..' my eyes suddenly got really heavy. 'I can tell your absolutely shattered, y/n. Go back to sleep! I'll get you up to your dorm. It's not a problem.' Sirius said with a smile. 'But Sirius, boys can't go to the girls-' I was cut off 'I have my ways Miss Diggory, I have my ways.' He smirked. My eyelids started to close again but not before I realised my head was leaning on Sirius' shoulder again.

Sirius' POV -
Y/n fell asleep again, her head was on my shoulder. I always get this weird feeling in my gut whenever she's around. I don't know how I'd explain the feeling but it's strange. I believe Lily said the muggle term was 'getting butterflies' but I don't get it. After sitting for around 10 minutes, I decided to work on getting y/n to her dorm. I wrapped her arms around my neck and carried her bridal style to the bottom of the stairs. 'Now to get you up here..' I mumbled. I walked over to the the couch again and rested y/n on the couch. I then took out my wand, getting an idea. I cast a charm on my shoes that would make them stick to stick to surfaces easily. Lily always said the spell pretty much put suction cups on the bottom of your shoes, again suction cups are a muggle thing I have no clue about. I picked y/n up the same way I had before and headed to the stairs.
I carefully stepped on the walls, twisting my legs slightly to do so. This was working a lot better than I expected honestly. Around half way up the stairs, y/n began to snuggle into my shoulder. Oh Godric, Sirius don't blush, don't blush, don't blush! I thought to myself to try and stop the blushing but it didn't work. My cheeks were roasting. I swear, if Marlene is still awake and sees this she'll figure out the girl I broke up with her for us y/n and if McKinnon figures it out, she'll tell y/n instantly. My thoughts were circling when I realised I had gotten to her dorm. I walked into the dorm and gently placed her onto the only empty bed which I assumed was hers. Just as I laid her down, she began to talk in her sleep. It was pretty adorable, I must admit. 'Sirius...' y/n mumbled while remaining asleep. 'Why of all people, do I like Sirius....Orion......Black' she mumbled. Oh. My. Merlin. She likes me? It could just be a dream but what if she does like me? She can't like me, right? It's just her dreams. But what if it isn't? Come on Sirius, pull yourself together! I was pulled out of my thoughts when I felt a hand grab my wrist. 'How on earth did you manage to get up here?' Y/n grumbled.

Reader's POV -
I raised an eyebrow at Sirius, waiting for an answer. 'Like I said, I have my ways!' He winked at me. 'Oh and, y/n love, did you know you sleep talk?' He smirked, sitting on the side of my bed. 'W-What?' I fumbled. 'You were saying my name, and said that you like me. Is that true y/n?' Sirius cocked his eyebrow. 'I-I u-uhm what a-are you o-on about S-Sirius?' I stuttered. 'You like me! Y/n y/m/n Diggory actually likes me, Sirius Orion Black!' He whisper yelled. 'What's it to you anyways? It's not as if it matters..' I yawned while, not purposely, grabbing onto Sirius' hand. 'Night, Black' I smiled as I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
