5. 3 v 3

Well I tried my best. But Tendō obviously won as I stood on one side of the court with Shirabu and Hayato while Ushijima, Semi and Kai stood on the other. I huffed in annoyance as Tendō began singing his little song cheering my side on.

I took a deep breath as I held the ball bouncing it 3 times. I chucked it in the air running up 1 step, 2 step, 3 step. JUMP! I slammed my hand down sending it flying towards the other side as Kai dug it up sending it back over to us.

"Chance ball!" Hayato yelled as I backed up getting ready to spike. Hayato received as Shirabu set it perfectly towards me as I jumped up sending a straight. One point for us.

"Y/n! You're so good!" Kai said from the other side as my face heated up.

"Wow that was amazing!" Tendō said and I thanked them both grabbing the ball again.

I took a glance at Ushijima as he stood low in a receiving stance as I jump served again. Kai recieved it sending it to Semi as Ushijima ran up hitting it straight towards me. My eyes widened as I tried recieving as it reflected off my chest missing my arms.

"Oof!" I groaned as I hit the floor, i coughed trying to catching my breath again.

"Y/n!" Reon shouted as I groaned again sitting up. Everyone was looking at me with shocked eyes, even Ushijima as I got up on my feet again.

"Nice one Ushijima." I gave a thumbs up to him and he looked relieved as well as everyone else.

"Are you okay?" Ushijima asked and I nodded my head.

"Not the best at recieving as you can tell." I laughed giving out another cough.

"Nice serve!" I said passing the ball to Ushijima as he grabbed it nodding to me. He ran up for a jump serve letting Hayato receive since he was used to it. Shirabu tossed it to me as Ushijima went up for the block. I noticed right away going for a feint as the ball bounced on the other side while Kai tried diving for it.

"Waao~" Tendō exclaimed as his eyes bulged at what I did.

"How did you do that! You looked like you were going for the hit!" Soekawa asked crossing his arms.

"Lots of practice. We had this one girl on my team from middle school who was almost exactly like Ushijima." I said.

"How so?" Shirabu asked.

"She was very intimidating and tall. Always looked mad and never spoke." I laughed as Ushijima just scrunched his brows at me.

The game had gone on for another 10 minutes before I got tired out collapsing on the floor. Everyone laughed at me as I dragged myself on the floor like a slug reaching for my water bottle.

"I need to start jogging more often." I huffed taking another drink sitting down on the bench.

"You should jog with me." Ushijima said and I looked up to him, he had a towel around his neck as he looked down at me.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes. I go every morning at 6:30." I gaped at the time before shrugging my shoulders agreeing to go with him.

"Alrighty then, jogging partner." I nudged him as I got up. I noticed a slight pink on his cheeks making me blush as well. I packed up my bag grabbing my lanyard watching as the boys took down the net.

"I've gotta leave early you guys mind locking up?" I asked the boys as some of them nodded. "I'll leave the key here." I smiled taking it off my lanyard before putting it on the bench.

"Bye guys." I bowed at the door before turning around and leaving.

The drive home was tiring as I got stuck at every red light groaning in frustration. I rolled my eyes before turning to my right seeing a sports store. An idea popped in my head as I turned the wheel heading into the busy parking lot. The store was huge as I looked around at all the clothes and athletic supplies.
