I get out of the house the same way I got in making sure no one notices me. I start walking towards this other café that we really liked with Darian, they have the best donuts at low prices.
We would sneak out on mum just for those donuts, some naughty kids we are.

I get inside the café and nothing has changed in the past months. I choose to sit at a far end secluded from the others cause am not in a position to be socializing right now.

A waitress comes and I order coffee and my favorite donut. I eat with a hundred thoughts in my head. I can’t even get the actual taste of my donuts. Am so lost in thought that I don’t even notice the guy who comes to sit next to me until he speaks

“And why would a pretty lady like be sitting alone?” he says with a smirk

I roll my eyes inwardly now I have to talk to him when I’ve been trying to ignore people so bad. Argh people what is wrong with you, can’t you just let a girl sit by herself so she can sulk in her life alone.

“Uhm, hello,” the guys wave in my face.

Damn I didn’t respond to him in the first place. He must think am a total douchebag

“Hey, uhm sorry I was just lost in thought” I manage to say

“yah I noticed with the expression on your face, I wonder what’s bothering such a lovely creature” he says

Well now that am actually looking at him, I notice that he isn’t so bad. His physiognomy doesn’t fail him at all. He has green eyes; makes me think of a forest. Although he is sitting down I can tell that he is tall with a very well built body; it’s like his muscles are going to rip the shirt he is wearing. He has brown hair it looks so soft I wanna reach out to touch it. He also has the perfect smile ever. He is just gorgeous.

I mentally smack myself for drooling over him, I have important issues to handle than some random guy I just met in café.

“The name is Monty,” he says while extending his hand towards me.

“Am Melnisa,” I lie while taking his hand I don’t even know where that name came from. I notice that his hands are rough so he must work a lot huh.

“Melnisa” he repeats the name like it’s a magic word.
Just then his phone rings “Excuse me, I will be back in a sec,” he says politely.

What a gentleman. When he turns around to go answer his call I also make my way out, don’t really wanna get involved with people at this time although I would have loved to spend more time with him because he seems nice.

“Monty.” I mutter his name under my breath, I like it.
