Hi lovelies..... enjoy x

The room goes quiet as they get left alone. Still grasping each other's hands as they try to comprehend everything that's happened over the last couple of hours. It has been to much for the both of them. They've had to overcome and face so much, they were exhausted.

"What do we do A?"His voice quiet but she could still hear the tremors

"I well... we" she pauses as she realises for the first time she doesn't have a plan, she doesn't know what to do "I don't know Lou"

He looks at her helplessly, feeling scared and vulnerable in this new situation. He's terrified that something bad will happen to his friend, something worse then what's already happened.

"They Erm they're our beloveds but can we trust them? He.." Louis pauses as he remembers the feeling of rejection "he is disgusted by what I am"

Athena watches her friend feeling her heart break for him. He didn't deserve this, he deserved a good mate and a good life.

"Maybe.. maybe we should try... we know that your uncle has caused a lot of people to hate the vampire kind... maybe you can change his perception" trying to be hopeful for him when she herself didn't know if she could try

"Your right he has ruined everyone's thoughts of vampires... we used to be respected and now... now we are worse than wild rogues." He mumbles angrily to himself, feeling sad all other again about what his life has become

"What about you and that beta?" He questions watching as she tenses

"I well.... I'm glad it's a woman." She smiles half heartedly "I don't know Lou...I don't know how I will ever trust anyone again, how I will allow her to touch my skin when the simple thought makes me sick" her body shudders at the memories racing through her head

He whimpers quietly "I'm sorry.... I'm so sorry I couldn't save you that day" he gasps for breath as he finally sobs for the pain and guilt he has felt since that day

She wraps her arms around him finding comfort from his touch. She whispers for him to breath as she to cries over that painful day. She knows that they will have to discuss this, she couldn't allow him to continue to feel this guilt. Guilt he shouldn't feel. But she also knows that they aren't strong enough for this conversation today. They needed to heal slowly before they could re open that wound.

Slowly they cry themselves to sleep wrapped up in each other's arms. Completely unaware of what is ahead of them, what is coming their way and just how their lives were about to change for ever. They slept peacefully for the first time in years secretly embracing the comfort they got from knowing their mates were close by and protecting them. They had no idea the lengths their mates would go to, to make sure they slept soundly and safely every night.

Huffing for the millionth time Harry retraces his steps as he paces the floor of the kitchen. He knows Saffi and Jasper have sat down at the island watching him silently, waiting for him to finally calm down. Lumi had quickly gone to shower as she and her wolf needed time to sulk in private, to handle the fact there's a chance of rejection.

With a final huff he sits himself opposite the mated pair with a defeated look "what do I do?" He questions as he stares down at the island counter.

"Harry... all you can do right now is give it time. It is clear that they have both been through a lot and they need time to not only deal with that but to realise that they aren't in that situation now. They are still acting on instinct. You also need to become more open about your feelings towards his species and why that is. You have to realise that he isn't them. He's your mate. You will eventually have to open up to him and tell him why you have such a hatred. But right now give him time, give him support and be cautious of how you behave and treat him" Saffi finishes with a gentle smile as Jasper squeezes her hand

"That psychology degree really did you good, aye?" He jokes feeling his natural instinct to deflect come to play

"Do not deflect. You asked for help, this is my advice. The other piece of advice is to allow those two to comfort each other, only they know what they've experienced and right now they need familiarity"

"So what... we just leave them be and hope they come to us?" Lumi questions as she walks into the kitchen freshly showered with a scowl in her face

Saffi sighs looking at her own mate as he smiles gently giving her an encouraging nod. He didn't speak much, especially not in front of those he didn't trust. He trusts everyone in this room but it was his nature to not speak unless necessary. All these years in the pack and still he hadn't broken that instinct.

"No. Seriously guys listen to what I am saying. I will list steps. 1. Give them time, be patient and understanding. Show compassion. 2. Allow them to support each other without your own jealous getting in the way. 3. Control your wolves. 4. Ensure they know they are safe and give them freedom to roam the pack. And finally 5. Be as open with them as you want them to be with you. Nothing will progress if you, yourself do not show willingness to evolve yourselves and your relationships." Her voice is stern with a softness undertones throughout

Harry and Lumi share a look before they sigh as they feel the scolding from their dear friend.

"And for the love of all that's good... do not do anything to cause them to fear you. If you do... then you may not be able to redeem yourselves"

"What's that supposed to mean?" Lumi snarls

Saffi stands slamming her hands onto the island counter as she glares at the two with her eyes glowing the gold with anger

"it means they have been through hell. If you two dare hurt them or make them scared in any way you will have me to deal with"

With that said she drags Jasper from the room and to their own. Leaving two wide eyed wolves behind.
