"I am sorry, Ms. Luella. I am not really sure if we've met."
"Okay. I'm quite shocked, you don't know me but I am Gino's girlfriend."
"Oh, Gino, yung artista. Artista ka din? Pasensya ka na. I'm not so familiar with the Philippine showbiz, I grew up and stayed in Germany for so long."

"I see. Maganda ka pala talaga Dra. kaya naman kahit papaano'y acceptable ang mga nangyayari. Alam mo bang naiissue na ngayon si Gino na may kinahuhumalingan syang iba?"
"I don't know."
"Yes, mukha namang hindi ka mababaw na babaeng pumapatol sa lalaking may girlfriend na."
"I'm sorry???"
"Well, pumunta lang naman ako to clear things out. I was so busy last few weeks kaya hindi ko nabantayan si Gino at ang sabi ng mga tao, palagi syang andito sa ospital. I wanna make sure he's here para magpagamot at hindi ang magpakamot. I am his girlfriend for years already Doctora. I have been there to save his downfall, so you see, I am the constant in his life. Hindi lang girlfriend ang role ko. "
"And what does my being suppose to be involved?"
"Gusto ko lang na malaman mo Doc that Gino is not available anymore. That he is not free and he is mine. Hindi naman ikaw ang doctor nya pero nakakapagtaka lang na palagi syang andito."
I stood up and open the door widely for her.
"Uhm, excuse me, Ms. Luella, this is a clinic, I am a cardiothoracic surgeon, sure I can mend hearts but not the brain. I mean, he comes here to get checked, not of what you think. "Buti di kayo ni Akim ang nagkatuluyan no? Kundi mas nakakatawa yun."
She just rolled her eyes.
"Kumusta naman? Si Gino, jan din sa ospital nyo nagpa opera ng puso ah. Buti di ikaw ang doktor."
Bigla kong nasipsip yung napakalamig na iced coffee ko. Nabrain freeze tuloy ako.
"Actually, pasyente ko sya at ako ang gumawa ng surgery nya."
