CHAPTER 34

Humihingi na ako ng pasensya kasi yung court rulings di ko makita kung ano sinasabi sa kapag nag sesentence na, eh hindi pa naman ako nakakakita ng live action na ganyan. Hehe. So this is so unreal, but hey, pwede na.

One more chapter and Annika's off to go.

"With all the evidence, facts, and testimonies presented in this court, the accused, Noel "Mamu" Barton is hereby found guilty of the case estafa beyond a reasonable doubt. WHEREFORE, this court orders the sentencing of the accused to suffer the indeterminate penalty of four (4) years and two (2) months of prision correccional, as a minimum, to seventeen (17) years of reclusion temporal, as maximum.  With a fine of 3, 500,000.00 pesos. And guilty of breach of contract  with the following penalties: 

a) TWENTY MILLION PESOS (PHP20,000,000.00) plus legal interest as incidental and consequential [damages] for violating Articles IV and XVI of the Artist Management Contract dated 08 SEP 201x;

b) Seven Hundred Pesos (₱700,000.00) as legal expenses;

c) One Million Pesos (₱1,000,000.00) as exemplary damages;

d) One Hundred Seventeen Million (₱117,000,000.00) as the cost to moral damages of the plaintiff;

e) Such other reliefs that the Honorable Court deems as just and equitable.

So Ordered."

The court case battle with Mamu has been long and exhausting. It had been 2 years since we started fighting for the justice we longed for. Halos kinalakihan na nga ito ni Keeno. He's now two at malikot na sya. He's not much of a talker but he runs as much as he can.

"Hello, small mister!"

Even with smudges of chocolate and dirt on this little boy, I carried him and kissed his cheeks.

"Ay have you taken bath na Keeno? Why do you look like this?"
