Sequence 1 bonus chapter 3 The Pridelands drought

This is about the Pridelands and the beginning of it's early dry season

In the Pridelands, the dry season has begun one month early, the last rain for months has came by three days ago and won't rain again for months, so far everything going good but things will escalate when the river starts to recede, in the paintings of the past, there has been worse dry seasons than this one, Rafiki has predicted an early season this year and he was correct.

Vitani and her lion guard starts patrol around the Pridelands, all the animals are doing fine, but she doesn't know what about to come ahead

Two weeks after the last rains

Lakes starts to recede, the river is still flowing nicely as snow melts on the mountains, the grass is starting to change color and the struggle to find fresh water begins, already Vitani is wondering how Kion dealt with this, she patrols around, Simba has asked Mo tembo to find a new water source before anyone runs out of water for good, she has found a new water source easily, but will quickly run out as well

One month after the last rains

The air is dry, humidity drops below 30% almost everyday and even clouds stopped coming in, all the animals especially the hippos, the first fires is sparked by the zebras grazing ground, Vitani runs to the fires, the fire is growing too fast as the wind suddenly picks up, Vitani has an idea, "Everyone behind me." she ordered
Vitani's lion guard runs behind her, "Um, Vitani, I would not suggest using the roar." Tazama said
Vitani roar at the fire and it instantly becomes larger, at this point, the fire seems unstoppable, Vitani learned her lesson, never roar at an ongoing fire, when all hope was lost, huge waves of water comes in and puts out the fire, the last fire is just a little blue candle burning a piece of grass, Tazama runs to look at it, "Ah, it so cute." she said
Kasi kicks dirt on it and puts it out, steam comes off the hot ground, Vitani looks behind her and sees Jabari has used the heart of the sea to equinquish the fires, "Um thanks Jabari." she said
"No problem, just saw a huge fire, decided to come and help, by the way, you shouldn't use the roar to put it out." Jabari said
"I learned that, and I don't think using water is a good idea either." Vitani said
"Yeah but it was an emergency, I know we are short on it but what choice did I have." Jabari said
"True, hey would you help us get through this dry season, we are struggling quite a bit to keep everyone happy here." Vitani said
"Sure, I don't mind helping animals, plus I have nothing else to do." Jabari said

One week later

Another fire sparked up nearby Pride rock, Vitani and her lion guard is already on it, Imara and Shabaha is making fire breaches while the others try to keep the fire at bay by putting dirt on the embers that make it past the breaches, once the breaches were finished, Imara and Shabaha backs up and keeps an eye around the fire, ten minutes after, the fire burns out, the grass is burnt but it will regrow as it always does, Mo Tembo has to look for another water source, the original one has ran out, she finds the second one easily, everything came back to normal as it can be, although the river is now starting to deplete, all the snow on the mountains has all melted.

One week later

a couple more fire were sparked up but Vitani and her lion guard were able to take it out easily, Rafiki has came on Pride rock, "Simba, I need you, Nala, and Vitani to come with me." he said
"Is something wrong Rafiki?" Simba asked
"I'll tell you once we get in the lair." Rafiki said
Simba, Nala, and Vitani get into the cave, Kiara and Kovu were also called earlier and followed Rafiki, "Okay, now we are in the lair, what's going on?" Simba asked
Rafiki bumps his staff on a painting, it shows the sun getting covered, "It's about this." he said
"A solar eclipse?" Simba asked
"Yes Simba, a solar eclipse." Rafiki said
"What's about it?" Simba asked
"We'll that solar eclipse happened eighty years ago, and the solar eclipse before that also happened eighty years, and before that, another one, and it's been about eighty years before the last one." Rafiki said
"Which means we are soon to get another one." Simba said
"That would be cool to see." Kiara asked
"Yes but their may be some problems." Rafiki bumps his staff on the paintings again, Fire raged on every one of them, "After each solar eclipse, a great evil happens, the last times it wasn't directly in the Pridelands, it was just at the edge of evil, but this year, the sun is almost at its highest point." Rafiki said
"Which mean what?" Kovu asked
"Great evil could be very near." Rafiki said
"Maybe it won't happen in the Pridelands." Vitani said
"Maybe, but the paintings has always been right, so I suggest you all be prepared when the time comes." Rafiki said
"Okay, Vitani, after the eclipse, I need you to go on extra patrol so that we all will be prepared for this great evil." Simba ordered
"I will Simba, but we may need some help." Vitani said
"I'll ask the outlanders for help as well, hopefully they understand what's about to happen, but our goal is to keep the Pridelands safe." Simba said
Zazu flies down, "Vitani, another fire near by the river." he said
"Sorry guys but I gotta go put the fire out." Vitani said

End of sequence one bonus chapter three

After this chapter I will be able start on chapter sixteen, this bonus chapter tells more about the story, noticed that all of these bonuses have something teased which will also carry through the story.
