Finding Her Way Back.

Bon Anniversaire! (Chapter 56)

Dinner was a blast. We had dinner on the resort together and as the day went on Alana received tons of FaceTime calls and messages. Mason and Jacqui had been extra sweet in buying her a cake earlier and we celebrated altogether until late hours. A soon as we had gotten back to our villa I had crashed. Mason wanted to stay with me but because tomorrow was game day, I knew he would of had to leave extra early so I made him hed back to his hotel and we would spend time together after the game.

"Lilahhhh! Wake up! Ton anniversaire est aujourd'hui!" Lana shook me. 

I rubbed my eyes a little and stired. 

"Come on girl it is your day!" 

 I finally opened my eyes to see a wad of balloons in Jacqui's hand and a tray in Alana's. 

"Happy birthday!" They both shouted. 

I smiled and sat up against the headboard. Jacqui lowered the tray onto my lap and they both started singing. 

"Aww thanks guys, love you loads." Both of them came over to hug me and there were cards on the tray to open. 

"Open them!" Lana grinned and they both took a seat on my bed with me. Maya was luckily asleep in Jacqui's room. 

I took a bite of my toast and opened my first card which said 'sister.' 

'To my beautiful sister, 

You have grown and matured so wonderfully over the years and I am super proud of you. I know it hasn't always been easily but you still believe and have faith and I am glad to be with you on your 22nd birthday. Your 20s will be your best years so make sure you enjoy them! I will always be here for you to love you and guide you along the way. 

Thank you for being such a great aunty to Maya too.

I chuffed and pulled Jacqui into a hug. "Thank you for such kind beautiful words big sis." 

I ate some more of my breakfast and opened up the next one which Lana eagerly gave me. 

'Deli, 

Bon Anniversaire ma Cherie! I remember the first time I met you I didn't even think we could be friends. We were so different from each other and I often felt like you didn't even like me but somehow we ended up together in the same circle of friends and we connected on so many different things. 4 years later we are still celebrating each other and that is what I love most about you, we live to see each other climb. 

Anyway happy birthday ma soeur. Heres to many more.

"Thanks my love." I hugged her. We all snuggled further into my bed and Jacqui picked a movie for us to watch. 

"Lazy morning huh?" I asked and Jacqui laughed. 

"I can't lie I have been running on minimal sleep for a while now but for what we have for the days ahead, I want you to have full energy." She said mischeviously. 

I laughed but bit my lip nervously, "you guys are scaring me but okay." 

Alana laughed, "after what you put me through yesterday oh be prepared." 

We all chuckled and stayed in bed a bit longer watching tv. Oscar brought us up some more food at our request and it was just nice to have a chilled morning indoors. 

"Okay so be ready for in an hour okay?" Lana said as she walked towards the door. Jacqui had gone to feed Maya who had woken up crying. It all kind of pushed us to get started with the day.
