"guys guys guys!" riley yelled running into the living room from the kitchen with a bowl of popcorn and drinks for everyone. "ten minutes before sloane's song drops"

"ugh i'm so nervous, it's been a while since i've put out new music" sloane said nervously. "i forgot how scary this is"

it's been two months since sloane and the boys started to work on a new song for her. the boys helped the girl produce it while she wrote the lyrics. daniel helped her a lot with writing it. zach offered to help her with it multiple times but she never let him.

the group of friends were currently at the winters' house once again waiting for sloane's new song to drop. this is the first song sloane was releasing since she took a break from music so she could fix her mental health.

"so are we ever going to know what the song is about?" paris asked leaning into jonah's side.

sloane shook her head, "no way. y'all are going to have to wait for another eight minutes to figure it out, and then maybe i'll tell you"

"no no we aren't playing this game sloane you have to tell us" zach argued as he wrapped an arm around her waist.

"wait what?" gabbie questioned. "zach you don't know what the song is about yet?"

zach shook his head at the girl. "how is that possible? didn't you help produce it? and you are her boyfriend so" christina asked.

"yes, but i was only allowed to help with the beat, no lyrics nothing" zach explained. "she wouldn't even let me be there when the song finished"

"um actually you got sick the day we finished so you couldn't listen" sloane corrected him. "i mean i wasn't going to let you listen anyway but it was convenient"

"convenient- i hate you" zach pouted letting go of the girl and moving to the other side of the room where jack and gabbie were and sitting in between them.

"wait so all of you guys know what the song's about..except for zach?" riley asked as they all nodded. "wow that sucks for you zach"

"thanks edna appreciate the love" zach replied sarcastically rolling his eyes.

"zach just isn't as cool as me so he doesn't get to know" daniel shrugged keeping a straight face earning a glare from the younger boy.

"daniel shut up you're annoying" zach retorted.

"zach can you get up and go back over there" jack insisted. "it bothers me that you are so close to me, please go back"

"well now i'm offended" zach told him acting as if he was hurt by what was said. "i'm going to stay here just to make you mad"

"zach don't even start with me i will throw hands" jack threatened while zach didn't budge, he just stuck his tongue out at the boy.

"hey! don't start you two!" jonah demanded. "zach go sit by sloane the song comes out any minute now"

"it's actually exactly a minute so everyone get ready!"alyssa cheered happily. zach walked back over to sloane as everyone was sitting in their respective spots quietly getting their phones out to countdown.
