The Last Chapter

As they walked into the room, Gamora recognized it from the times she lived there with Nebula. Thanos used to use the machine for taking Nebula apart. What the hell was he going to do? Thoughts rushed into Gamora's head. She didn't want to tell Thanos where the soul stone was but she also didn't want to hurt Peter. Thanos shut the door behind them. He let go of Gamora and grabbed Peter. Gamora looked worried and looked towards Thanos. "What are you going to do?" She said with a worried tone in her voice. "Remember when you lied and I put Nebula here to get the truth out of you? This is one of those times." Thanos said. "No! You can't! He's been through enough!" She yelled at Thanos. "I'll tell you where the stone is if you don't kill him!" She said with tears. Peter shook his head no, telling her not to do it. "It's on Vormir." She said looking down. "You know, he was going to die either way. He will be the sacrifice. A soul for a soul." He said. Thanos used the reality stone to go to Vormir. Gamora ran up to them to stop Thanos, but was too late. Gamora fell to her hands and knees sobbing.

Peter and Thanos appeared on Vormir. "Hopefully people will remember you." Thanos said. They walked up the mountain. Peter knew what was coming for hin and there was no point in stopping it. Red Skull was waiting at the top for them. "Thanos, son of A'lars. Peter, son of Ego." The floating man said. "You know who we are?" Thanos asked. "Of course I do. It is my curse to know all that comes." The red man said. Red Skull floated to the edge of the cliff, Peter and Thanos followed. "You know what you must do?" Red Skull asked. "Yes." Thanos responded. He grabbed Peter, but Peter didn't stop it, he knew there was no chance. Thanos threw Peter off of the cliff and Peter crashed into the ground. Thanos looked around to see if anything happened. "Something must have went wrong." Red Skull said. "What do you mean?" Thanos asked. "You have to sacrifice someone you love, so you must have not loved him." Red Skull said. It wasn't the first time that something like that had happened. Thanos fell to his knees, not because he killed and innocent man, but because he didn't get the stone. Thanos used the space stone to get back to his ship.

Gamora was still crying, she knew Peter was gone. She looked up to see Thanos appear. She stood up and pulled out her sword. "You killed Peter!" Gamora yelled as she ran towards Thanos. She wanted to kill him. "How could you do that!" She yelled while swinging her sword at him. He kept dodging the swings and kept backing up. She grabbed her sword, it didn't affect his skin, he crushed her sword and pieces of it fell to the floor. "I hate you!" She yelled at him.

Peter woke up, but he wasn't on Vormir anymore, he didn't know where he was. He was trying to get up until he saw a hand reach out to him. It was a woman. He saw her face and recognized it. "Mom."
