Lorenzo's POV

Breakfast was nice at the cafe except for a few awkward encounters with Chanel. I have seen her many times since the breakup and I don't quite understand why she is acting so weird. She's even seen me with different whores throughout the years.

"I'm going to pay the bill." I told Klarissa as I stood up.

She nodded her head at me showing that she understood.

I walked over to the counter and waited for someone to help me. Once Chanel saw me waiting, she came over.

"€ 35 is your total." Chanel said as she directed her gaze away from me.

After I handed her my card she swiped it, and handed it back to me. Our hands touched during this interaction and her eyes shot up to mine.

"Is there any chance that we might get back together?" she asked quietly.

"Chanel, we haven't been together in years and I have a girlfriend now." I told her as I put my card away.

"But is she really the one you want? We have so many memorizes together, your mother even said how good I was for you." she pleaded quietly to me.

"Don't bring my mother into this. You have no idea what I have with my girlfriend and its disrespectful to insinuate that my mother wouldn't approve of her." I told her in a blank tone.

Her words were really starting to upset me. It was taking everything in me not to completely loose my temper in this cafe right now. But I didn't want to cause a complete spectacle at the moment.

"Lorenzo please--" she begged quietly.

"Goodbye Chanel." I said as I walked away.

I quickly walked over to our table and extended my hand down to Rissa.

"Come, let's go." I said as I lead her out the back door.

I was anxious to get away from Chanel and the whole event that took place inside the cafe. All I wanted to do was have an enjoyable day out with my girlfriend.

"Where are we going next?" she asked as we walked down the sidewalk.

"I want to take you shopping for some new pieces of jewelry. You deserve to be covered in jewels." I told her.

"I don't need any more jewelry. The necklace that you bought me was more than enough." she said humbly to me.

One of the many reasons why I want to buy her more pieces, is because of how she reacts to them. She is thankful, and doesn't expect me to keep buying her things. Her humble behavior is one of the many things that draws me closer to her.

"Enough, if I want to take you shopping then we'll go shopping." I told her in an authoritative tone.

She just rolled her eyes at me and continued to walk along the path.

When we arrived at the jewelry shop, multiple sales people surrounded us. The previous day, I had called the store because I wanted them to prepare the back room for us. I wanted to be able to focus my complete attention on Klarissa without having to worry about what was going on around me.

"Mr. Russo it's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Alexis and I'll be helping you today." a short old woman said as she outstretched her hand to me.

Once I had shook her hand she said, "Come, the room is ready for your guys."

Rissa and I followed her to the back, and we tried our best to avoid the circling salesman. When we entered the room, there were two chairs placed next to each other, with a table in-front of it.
