It had been now nearly a month that you started to go to Loki. Since the day he had proven that he was worth to be truthed, you had always sent the agents out and had opened the door. Some days you and Loki had just sat there, reading. On others, Loki noticed that you had a new book and asked you what the last one was like. You even brought him one or two. It fascinated you how open he was for the literature you brought him. Who would have thought he, a god that was thousands of years old, would read Midgardian fantasy books. But there he was. Loki sat in his cell as you walked into the room reading the book you had finished the week before and decided to give him. You watched him for a moment and saw how his intense green eyes rushed over the words. His entire being seemed to tense and his mind seemed to dive into the story completely. The sight of him being so fascinated made you smile and you asked yourself where this thought had just come from.

After another moment you decided to pull him out of his thoughts and cleared your throat. His eyes shot up and looked at you as if he had just been caught in an embarrassing situation. On his cheeks, a light blush formed. Your smile grew even more and you approached the door. Since some days the S.H.I.L.D. agents had been pulled off and so it had been only Loki and you from the beginning.

Loki closed his book and stood up. He had done so the last days mostly to bow lightly in front of you and then go back to his spot. But today this was not going to happen. Just as he wanted to sit back down, the man noticed the lack of a book in your hands. He sent you a questioning look.

"We'll not stay here today," you informed him. "The weather is beautiful and I want to give you the chance to prove yourself," you smiled friendly. Loki looked at you as if you had just told him you were a vampire that could walk in the sunlight. A small laugh escaped your lips and you shook your head.

"I'm serious. I'll take you out. You'll have to stay near me and you have to wear a GPS device but you'll be allowed to leave this room. Expect you don't want to. Then I'll leave and go out alone." You saw how his eyes shot open and a look of fear rushed over his face. He extended his arm to you, so you could place the tracker around it.

"If you want you can take your book with you." Tou nodded to it as you turned on your heels to leave his cell and the room. You heard Loki following you after a short moment. His steps sounded careful and unsure.

---- Time skip ----

You had taken Loki to the garden. It was really a wonderful day. The sun shone softly down on the both of you and a light breeze created the perfect temperature for a day in the garden. You had checked on your plants and were just finished with watering them. Loki was seated on the bench and read. His left side was leaned against the oak tree and his feet were seated on the bench. His raven hair laid on his shoulders, only the one or other little strand fell in his pale face.

You didn't want to pull him out of his place but as you were about to reach out to pick one of the blackberries you lost your balance and fell in the bush. A short yelp of pain erupted from your throat as the thorns dug into your skin.

"(Y/N)!" Loki shot up from his place and ran to help you out of the bushes.

"What happened?" Loki asked. His hand reached out to pull you up. You took it gladly and were pulled up on your feet.

"What were you doing?" Loki asked, his eyes darting over you to see where you had been hurt.

"I was picking berries and lost my balance. Nothing much, really," you convinced him. Loki's eyes still searched for injuries. His eyes stopped in your neck.

--- Loki's POV ---

(Y/N) stood in front of me. She had light scratches all over her body. I was about to stop searching for any injuries as I noticed blood running from the right side of her neck. I reached for her hair gently to look for the source of the blood. She wanted to turn her head in the way but I placed my trump on the side of her jaw and the rest of my hand in the side of her neck. She let me turn her head so that I could look at her but I found no injuries. I was confused about where the blood had come from but let it go after a moment.

--- Your POV ---

Loki placed his slender fingers on the side of your neck and turned it lightly. As soon as his hand laid upon your skin, you felt your skin tingle. You looked at your hands and saw the scratches disappear. It was strange. You hadn't used your stylus to activate your healing rune but still it healed you. You knew Loki's hand was laying upon the hidden rune but he could impossibly know of it nor activate it without your stylus. Was he healing you with his magic or was it something else?
