"My friends are not like that Nathan! Hindi sila mga baliw na bigla nalang magsisimula ng away nang walang dahilan!" Galit na pagtutol ko kay Nathan matapos nyang sabihin na ang mga kaibigan ko ang may kasalanan kung bakit nagkagulo kanina

"I know Blair is my cousin and I should've side her but I know my friends too. And they are reasonable most of the times, ano ba kasing nangyari at nagkagano'n?" I asked impatiently

He clenched his jaw and looked away. His actions made me want to talk more.

"Stay away from your friends, they aren't good  for you" he said in a strict tone, emphasizing the word 'friends'

My mouth was left open in his statement. Did Nathan just really say it? Never in our relationship he gives a damn about my friends, may tiwala sya sa paraan ko ng pagpili ng tao. Bakit ngayon ay parang pinaparamdam nya sa'kin na mali ako sa pagpili kina Rox at Lycy bilang kaibigan?

"You're not gonna tell me who's good for me and who are not." I said firmly and look at him seriously

It feels like I just wrecked something on him as I say those words. Galit na nag iwas tingin sya tsaka lumunok. His adam's apple move as he swallowed.

"So you're choosing to believe them more than me?"

My conscience was hit hardly by his question. I wasn't prepared that he might think that way. The disappointment in his tone add more pressure on it. Mabilis akong na-guilty sa naging pahayag.

"Hindi ganoon Nathan..." Mahinang sabi ko

"Uwi na muna ako, tsaka na tayo mag usap Nami" He said and walk away without waiting for my response

I was left staring at his back. I want to apologize but I also want to stand my statement. I'm so torn.

His motorcycle roared, I went inside our house as he drove away.

"Bukas na darating ang magsusukat ng gown mo Nami, tell Nathan to come over" Mom said while we're eating dinner

I stopped eating as I heard Nathan's name being mentioned.

"Why Nathan should be here?" Takang tanong ko

"Para sukatan din. He's your escort right? Dapat ay magkatugma ang suot nyo" Mom explained

"He can't come tomorrow Mom, he's busy coping up with the past lessons. Madalas kasi silang excuse nung nakaraan" paliwanag ko rin na ikinalungkot ni Mommy

Natapos ang araw na iyon ng wala akong kinakausap kahit sino kina Blair, Rox, Lycy at Nathan.

Sobrang gulo ng takbo ng isip ko.

"Ikaw ba ang nakaisip ng theme?" Tanong sa akin ng designer ni Mommy

"Opo" I answered politely

He smile at me and continue measuring my waist. His team spend the lunch at our house.

"How's your school Blair?" Tanong ni Mommy

Sanay na sila dito sa bahay na laging maayos ang takbo ng mga grado ko kaya hindi na madalas nila kinakamusta. I think that's one of the disadvantages of being a consistent honor student, there's no thrill at all. No more expectations since you've been on top for a longtime, what you have to do is just maintain your position.

"Okay lang naman po Tita" Blair answered

"You are one of Nami's eighteen messages, make sure Nami will cry iha" Mom joked

She's talking about my upcoming debut.

Blair smile and continue eating.

"Kahapon nakita ko kayo ni Nathan na nagtatalo..." Someone from behind said, I looked back and it was Grandma.
