Chapter 13

Andrew's POV-
We had decided that we would ask Sky's mom if she can teach us. As we left my house and started to cross the street Kara asked, "Do you think your mom will teach us?"
"Um. Yeah. I think so. She seemed like she wanted to defeat Jake."
"Ok." As we got to Sky's house she took out the key then put it in the lock and opened the door.
"I think my mom's in the kitchen." Sky said walking threw the hallway that leads to the kitchen.
"Mom?" She said as she walked into the kitchen.
"Yeah honey?" Her mom answered.
"We were wondering if you could train us."
Sky's mom eyes lit up as she said, "Yeah of course I will. Follow me." She got up then opened the basement door and started walking down the steps, "you guys coming?"
"Yeah sorry." I said. We headed down the steps then watched Sky's mom press a button that was under the railing that I didn't know was there. She stepped back on the steps and waited. The floor flipped over and we saw a swords, guns, and more weapons on a rack on the left and padding everywhere else.
"So you've had a fighting spot ALL my life and I haven't known about it at all?" Sky said.
"Well yeah. It's not like I could tell you." He mom said.
"Oh. I guess that makes sense." Sky walked into the practicing area and took out a sword. I didn't notice it untill now but on the wall next to the one with the weapons there were armor.
"Should we put the armor on?" Kara asked.
"No. I have special armor for you guys. Oh and there is a different spot to train when you're using your powers. Also with the powers they make you heal faster and since you're born from a immortal you are mostly invulnerable. Sky you're fully since both me and your dad are a god and goddess but Andrew and kara you're half."
"Cool," I said not caring that I'm not fully invulnerable.
"Yeah." Sky agreed.
Kara just nodded and walked over to the weapon rack and looked through it for a minute the took out a sword that had a black handle with a line going across the handle and the blade was a shiny silver. I heard foot steps coming from behind me two minutes later. I turned around to see Sky's mom holding armor in her arm I had went down to the weapon rack and picked my own sword to. Mine had a red leather handle with a silver end and the blade was silver.
"Oh those look good. Did you make them?" Kara asked Sky's mom.
"Uh no. I created the design though."
"Ok. Cool." Kara said. Sky's mom handed us the armour. They were pretty similar but also all had there own unique thing. They were all black. Kara walked over to Sky's mom and waited for her to hand Kara her Armor.
"Sweet." Kara said holding it up in front of her. Her Armor was made out of leather and had prints on it. It was also a short dress but it only went halfway down the legs letting the person move and there were things that looked like leggings but we're made out of leather. Sky's was similar to that and so did mine except mine wasn't a dress. Mine was the same thing but with pants. After we got changed we went back to the training area and picked up or swords. I had notice when I put the amor on that there was a scabbard with a strap to put over your shoulder.
"So who wants to go first? Andrew and sky, sky and kara, or kara versus Andrew." Skys mom asked.
"Sky and Andrew can go first I guess." Kara replied stepping out of the fighting area.
"Ok." I replied. Skys mom had also gave us a hat that protects us and I pulled mine onto my face and held my sword in front of me. I saw Sky putting the sword in front of her. The weapons were all made out of wood or a strong material that wouldn't hurt us.
"Ok. Start" Skys mom said sitting down on the bench outside of the fighting area. I didn't know what exactly to do but i decided not to stay in the same place so I moved back and forth. I saw Sky move her sword near me twice but not until a minute later did she actually try to hit me. Our swords collided together, the noice echoing throughout the room. We both were fully invested in the fight that our swords hit each other multiple times. I tried to go for her arms but she blocked me. It must have been a hour or so. Our techniques got better and I realized that she always failed to guard her knees. "Got you," I said stepping back.
"Yeah you did." Sky agreed.
"You didn't guard your knees enough." Kara said from the back of the room. Sky looked at her knees as if that would do something.
"Oh."
"Yeah. I guess I'll fight you now Andrew." Kara replied.
"Ok," I waited for kara to step into the fighting area then continued, "You ready to battle?"
"Do you think I'm not? I'm going to beat you."
"Sure," replied mockingly.
"Ok. Go!" Skys mom said sounding a little excited to see how us battle. I tried to hit her in the knee, arm chest, and even her head but nothing worked. She seemed to move faster and quieter than Sky. It looked like I was winning but after about thirty minutes she jabbed me in the chest.
"Ow. That kind of hurt" i said rubbing my chest.
"Opps. Well the sword is made out of wood so it makes sense." Kara said.
"You guys are actually pretty good at fighting." Skys mom said.
"Thanks." Sky said.
"Did you think we weren't?" I wondered.
"Well you've never really done a ton of fighting. Only video games and that to years that you did boxing for your school."
"Oh. That makes sense"
"You guys ready to see our real hideout?" Skys mom said.
"There's something more real than this?" Sky said.
"Yes."
"Ok. Sure," Sky replied.
"Yeah," I agreed.
"Your parents are already there. Let's go." Skys mom said heading up the steps.
