We trained for the next couple of days. I learned how to do some other stuff with my power. Like it could at as a shield or I can tell it where to be or what to do. Andrew got better at punching things with more of his power. Nothing except training then getting to go back happened. I loved being with Andrew. I never wanted anything happening to him. And it would be my birthday soon! I had forgotten. My birthday was July 14th. Andrew kept saying they'd do something big for it but what if we were fighting then? Or even hurt. I pushed the thoughts out of my brain. I was eating lunch with  Andrew.
"We've learned a ton," Andrew said.
"Yeah, we have. But.. does that mean we'll have to keep fighting them?" I asked. Andrew's happiness left him.
"Yeah. I think so." We were sad and serious now.
"How will we even find them?" I asked.
"Huh... I don't know. Maybe they'll find us first."
"Yeah. Guess so. We should go back to training," I said and stood up then headed for the trash can and threw out my soup bowl. Andrew threw out his trash then we headed for the battle area. Before we reached it Andrew stopped me. I was confused at first but then when he pulled me closer to him I understood. He kissed me. His hand held onto my hair. Why did moments like this ever have to end? Unfortunately, they did. He pulled away from me with a smile on his face then we kept walking.
"I will," Some said through their teeth. I stopped behind a pine tree and listened. It was Calista. What was she talking about? I stayed as quiet as possible. I heard another voice coming from her ear. Did she have some kind of walkie-talkie in?
"Get. Them. To. The. Location," The voice said. It was a man's voice.
"Ok. I will. I have to go. They're supposed to come here soon to train," Calista said and clicked something on the back of her ear. Oh god. She was talking about us. Where would she bring us? I turned around and looked at Andrew. I hoped my face asked a question and looked slightly scared. That's how I felt. We would have to start training. Andrew walked forward and said, "Hi!" I followed next to Andrew.
"Hi! You guys ready for more training?" Calista asked.
"Little sore. But sure," I said. She didn't seem suspicious at all. Though we were suspicious of her. Did she work for the organization? We'd started calling them the organization for a better name.
"Ok, let's go. You guys wanna fight me? See if you can beat me. No powers."
"Ok," Andrew answered.
"Sure," I said.
"Ok. Cool." She headed for the weapons. We were wearing the suits she'd given us. They were pretty cool. I liked the moon part. I grabbed my usual dagger. The dagger handle was teal and the blade had circled on it. The sheath was black except for the blue lines on it. This dagger was awesome.
"Oh! Before I forget. We need to go to this place. We just have to go. It's called storm division, "  Kara said.
"Ok, " I said. We're we going to get hurt? We'd have to go but what if we got hurt? What if Andrew got hurt. How would I deal with that? "Why?" I asked. She looked surprised. Maybe I wasn't the type to ask questions.
"We have to get some things there, " She said too quickly.
"Ok...," I said unsure.
"Let's practice, " Calista said. She paid her attention to fighting. She stood in a fighting stance. "Ready?" She asked. We stood in front of her. I was. I wouldn't let anyone hurt Andrew. Even if I'd thought I could have been friends with that person.
"Ready, " Me and Andrew said in unison.
"Go, " Calista said then raced for us. We battled for a while. We kept barely dodging her moves. We were fast. She was strong and knew a bunch of moves. We had to come up with them on the spot. I hit her in the arm causing blood to lead out. She cursed under her breath when she got cut. Then lunged at me. Andrew saw her and blocked her with his sword. We kept fighting. Finally, Andrew kicked her. She fell to the ground and held his sword to her neck. I held my dagger out too. Not that It would do much. It was too short. Andrew took Calista's sword out of her hands.
"We win, " Andrew said smiling. She looked annoyed but then looked defeat and okay with it.
"Yeah. You did, " Calista replied. She put her hand on the ground and jumped up. She yanked the sword out of Andrew's hand and put it back in one motion. "So, anyone up for a good trip to storm division?" Calista asked. She was leaning on her right leg. Ok, we weren't getting out of this.
"Sure, " I said. I put the dagger back in the sheath, which hangs on my waist.
"K, " Andrew agreed. He put the sword on his back.
"You don't have to take weapons, "  Calista tried to convince us.
"Eh. It makes it safer. I like this dagger too, " I explained.
"Yeah. This sword is pretty cool. The blade's awesome, " Andrew decided.
"Ok... You won't need them though. Come with me, " Calista told us. Calista walked to the cafeteria. She had her hair in a high ponytail. She wore good running leggings and a light pink loose shirt.
"What are we doing in here?" Andrew asked.
"Wanted to get a snack. You should get one too. Here. Get some water. She poured water into two foam teacups then turned a put something into them and handed them to us. "Drink it slowly. You don't want to have to go to the bathroom, " She said. I don't know what she put in it but I was thirsty. I took a sip. We walked to a car. Wow. I was tired. Why was I tired? The world was facing in and out. I was losing consciousness. I would be asleep soon. I tried to find Andrew. He was walking next to me. I held into his hands and we got into a car. Some said, "Have good dreams, " In a nasty voice as I laid my head on Andrew's should with my eyes closed. I took another sip of the water, I was still there. The voice had been Calista. I felt the car move. I fell asleep too fast to know what happened next.
Kara's Pov-
I woke up on a hard bed. I wasn't in a cell or anything though. Where was I? How'd I get here? I heard a loud ring come from outside the small room. Next to the bed was a rack with clothes and a bathroom on the other side. I got up and changed into a t-shirt and sweats. I brushed my teeth then left the room. There were other people here. Men and women were passing by me holding things. There were other rooms next to mine. They all looked the same size. There was a hallway in front of me. Maybe it would go somewhere. I walked into it. There were some workrooms in this hallway. I saw a room with the name Kara McMasters. Hey, that was me! I opened the door and walked in. Some were sitting on the other side of a desk. I went to the inside of the desk and sat on the spinning black chair.
"Hello, Kara, " Some said. His voice was serious and he was wearing a tie and suit.
"Hello..., " I said. I had no idea what his name was but I had a feeling I should of.
"You are aware of her bringing here, right?" He asked. No. Of course not. I couldn't even say his I got to this building. I just nodded my head. Maybe he would say what he meant while he talked.
"So. You're aware of Sky and Andrew coming here?" He questioned. Andrew! Sky! I knew them. I don't think I was supposed to like them, by the way, he said their names. I tried to keep my expression calm and look into his eyes.
"Yes," I answered.
"Okay, good, " He started gesturing with his hands, "They will he hers in about ten to twenty minutes."
"Ok. Thank you, " I replied. The man got out of the chair and exited the room and closed the door on his way out. What did they do to me? Last thing I remember I had been in this medical room they had been doing things to me. What had they done to me? I remembered mental and physical pain. And lose. Sadness that I had emptiness. Memory's we're gone. But not any that happened before they'd done stuff to me. Only in between. What if I did something bad or harmful? I had to help Andrew and Sky. They could end up dead. They'd need my help. I got up and left the room.
Sky's pov-
The light blinded me as I woke up. I covered my forehead with my hand to help adjust to the light. My head was leaned against someone. I looked up and saw Andrew. Andrew! Wait... where am I? How'd I get here? Then I remembered the drink. It was still in my hands. I tossed it to the ground. The lid popped off and it spilled onto the car floor. Hey, that looks white. Water's supposed to be clear, right?
"Oh. Good. You're awake. Just in time, " Someone- Calista- said. She opened the car door then opened the left rear door. I shook Andrew. "Andrew, get up, " I whispered. I shook him again. This time he raised his head and rubbed his eyes. "What?" He whispered back. I took his hand and held onto it. I don't know what was about to happen but I wanted to stay near Andrew. Someone grabbed my arm. Ow. That's a tight grip. She pulled me out of the car. "What are we doing?" I asked fully awake.
"Have you ever heard of an arena? Today the moon will be a waning crescent. The perfect time for an epic battle. Let's go, " Calista said. She pulled Andrew out of the car. She smacked Andrew's head then said, "Wake up. We don't want either of you asleep." He seemed to wake up. He rubbed the back of his head, where she'd hit. I gripped Andrew's hand tighter. He noticed then squeezed my hand in return. Calista forced us to go to the front door of a building. The building was huge. It looked like a castle. In the back of the castle, I could hear swords and shields clashing. There was something that looked like a stadium except it was made out of tan stone. The front doors were already open. We went into the building.
"Why are you doing this?" Andrew asked.
"I think what they are doing is right. People who'll use their power for a better purpose. Oh and I never left the government. I was the first to join the government. And have never left, " Calista asked.
"Oh... Ok, " I said.
"Where are we going?" Andrew asked.
"Into this building. We're going to wait till sunset, " Calista said. Calista yanked keys of the wall and pulled us in front of a room. It had a bed in the room. The bed didn't look too comfortable. It had a two or three-inch mattress and a dark blue blanket. The blanket was crinkled and a little dirty. On the other side of the room was a square mirror and sink. The sink was small and old. At the end of the wall was a toilet. The door into the room was a combination of a door and a jail cell. Calista unlocked the door, opened it, then pushed us into the room, and closed and locked the door.
"Stay here... Ha! You can't not. You guys will be fighting someone in a couple hours. And if you don't we know just how to make you, " Calista said. She put the key back on the other wall. She left. Walked away. I remembered Andrew was next to me. I hugged him. A tear slipped down my cheek. Andrew hugged me back.
"What's going to happen?" I whispered into his ear.
"I don't know. But we'll be together, " Andrew replied. He let go of me and sat down. I didn't want to let go of him but I did. I sat down next to him. I had a feeling the next few hours would go by slow. And what did Calista mean by we would be fighting? Would someone get hurt? What would force us to do what they wanted us to do? I had so many questions but I wasn't sure if I wanted them answered. I laid my head on Andrew's shoulder. There were at least three hours until it would be dark out. I thought about using my power but I couldn't. Every time I tried I couldn't do it. Something was stopping me from using my power. I gave up. Maybe I should just try to go to sleep. I closed my eyes. Andrew held onto my hand.
Kara's pov-
I heard new voices coming from the front door. I was still sitting in "my office" when I saw four three people walking past. They went to a room at the end of the hallway. Then something clicked inside me. Wait? Was that Sky? And Andrew? I sat up in my chair. What were they doing here? Where was here? Then I heard a buzz come from my desk. I looked at where the noise came from. "Kara? Can you hear me?" Someone asked. Their voice was coming from a speaker.
"Yeah," I said.
"Ok. Good. I wanted to make sure you knew what is about to happen, " He said.
"Ok..."
"We are going to have Andrew and Sky fight at our arena. Maybe against each other. It'll be fun. We can invite a bunch of people."
"Ok, " I said. This can't be good. I don't know what's been happening but I didn't like the sound of it.
"Good. Be there when the sun sets."
"Ok. I will." I replied.
"Great. Bye, " He said and hung up. I heard another buzz. I got up and turned invisible. It was kind of strange not being able to see myself but it was helpful. I was more of a quiet person anyway. I walked out of the room and down the hall to where Andrew and Sky had been taken to. They were sitting on a bed. Sky had her head on Andrew's shoulder and her fingers were interlaced like she had been playing with them when she was awake. Now she was asleep. Andrew was still awake but he was staring at the wall. Probably thinking about something. What could I do? I didn't even know where I was.
"Andrew?" I whispered. His head turned towards be so fast. For a second I thought he could see me.
"Kara?" Andrew whispered.
"Yeah."
"You-you did this to us?!" Andrew whisper-yelled.
"Wait!" I whisper-yelled. My hands flew to the air and I became visible. But only for a second in case someone might see me. "I didn't know what I did. I don't even know. I don't remember anything after they- I think they brainwashed me or something, " I said.
"Oh. Are you going to help us?"
"I want to. I don't know how much I can help though. I don't even know where we are. But if I can do something to help I will."
"Ok. Thanks. Oh.. Can you get us food? I have a feeling they'd let us starve to death, " Andrew said.
"Ok, sure, " I said, "Be right back." I walked away and looked for food. I found a kitchen two hallways away from where Andrew and Sky were. I found two sandwiches and two apples. I brought them back to Andrew. I pushed the food through the bars and tossed the food to Andrew. He jumped of the bed and caught the food. Sky's head fell. Andrew noticed and got back on the bed. He adjusted Sky's head so that I was laying on his shoulder again. "Thanks, " Andrew said.
"You're welcome. I better get back now, " I said.
"Ok. Bye, " Andrew replied.
"Bye, " I replied then walked away and headed for my office.
