Andrews Pov-
I watched as Sky closed her eyes tightly. The man was holding his sword above his head and fastly lowered his hands, letting it drop. I couldn't stand to see her like this. Scared, protectless, and possibly about to die. I felt a tear fall down my cheek and fall to the floor. I was to worried to dry my face as another dripped down my face. I shook my head. No, I can't let this happen. I was about to do something when I saw Sky hidden inside fire. Fire that came from her and was only on her. I held my sword out ready to help. I could feel my face go from, scared, to scared but willing to do whatever it took to save Sky. I imagined her beautiful sky blue eyes looking at me after this was all over and saying that she liked me. Stop. I couldn't think about something that might not happen if he wasn't stopped. His sword should have reached her by now but I quietly walked behind him and waited. I saw his sword right above the fire and took my chance. I pushed my sword forward and threw his back. I was happy until I realized that I had been to late. I could no longer see any fire glowing. I walked back over to Sky and saw her standing straight. Her head had blood coming from it but that was it. The wound on her head didn't even seem worse than the wound on her arm.
"Sky? Are you alright?" I asked worried.
"Um... I think so," She replied shaken.
"He's still alive," Kara said. I looked back and saw him crouching with his hands on his knees. My sword was sticking out of his chest. I was about to do something but he disappeared. Someone behind him disappeared too but everyone else just took out there weapons getting ready to fight.
"Wh-why aren't you," I didn't want to say the word," Dead?" I never wanted to have to say that but I kept wondering. She looked just as curious as I was about it but she said." I don't know." As soon as she finished talking Kara yelled, "Sky, duck!" I heard a click then saw something small and black fly in front of me right at Sky. It was a bullet. Duck! No! No! NO! I ran forward right in front of the bullet. The bullet hit me. I turned my head to were it hit me. The left side of my chest was bloody and was hurting. Where is a heart supposed to be? I know on the left side but the blood. It was on the left side. I felt my knees become noodles. Was eye about to die? No. I wouldn't allow that. I forced my eyes open, I was strong. I kneeled on the ground. I didn't know what would happen if I try to stand up so I just kneeled straight as a stone. Noises faded in and out. I heard swords cling together and fall to the ground then at some point the stopped. I held my hand over the blood as I tried to listen to what some people were saying. I heard Sky, and Kara, and... someone else. I didn't know the third person and I sounded, from what I understood, that they didn't either. The persons voice was serious but caring. It was a girl. She sounded like she was trying to help. I lifted my left knee and kneeled on one leg, ready to stand up. If i could. I forced my eyes to focus. There was a ton of people laying on the ground. I saw three people standing to the side of all of the bodys. Sly had her hands in her pockets, Kara was running her hand threw her hair, and the other person was taping her foot lightly on the ground. The person I didn't know was taller than the rest of us and looked slightly older than us. Maybe 18. She was holding a helmet in her arms. It was the same as what the people we were fighting had. I looked back up at her face and saw that she had light brown hair but the bottom half was dyed blue. She had hazel eyes. She was wearing the same armor as the other people we had fought. And was walking towards me. "Hi," The person said to someone. Then I realized she was talking to me. "Um.. Hi," I said.
"Oh, Right you're hurt. Here," She held out her hand, "Take my hand, We'll get you somewhere safe." I looked over to Sky not knowing if I should. She nodded her head.
"Ok...," I said unsure still but took her hand. She lifted me up. She had incredible strength too.
"Oh, yeah. I'm Calista," She said. I didn't hear anything else. I think I must have fallen asleep because I remember waling up a couple of times and seeing thing fly past me. Was I on a train? Where was I going? I noticed my friends and the new person, Calista, next to me. Then the next time I woke up I was laying on a hospital bed. I tried sitting up but something held me down. I realized that it was hands. I noticed that I had tubes coming from my hands and my shirt was off. There was a mark were the bullet was-except I don't think the bullet was there anymore. It looked like stitches. I still had my pants on though which I was thankful for. I looked up and saw a bright light above me but then I fell back asleep. Finally, when I officially woke up, I was laying on regular bed on top of the blankets. I had a shirt on but it wasn't mine. It was a navy blue shirt with a pocket on it. I looked around before I decided to get up and saw that the room had two armchairs on one side and a small table in between them. The walls were painted white but had grey roses and black primroses painted on it. On the other side of the room was a desk. I looked back at myself to see if I had any tubes in my arms, which would have disgusted me if I was fully conscious when I had saw them. There was none in me but I did see a table next to me that had some medical supplies. I lifted my legs gently and once I knew that nothing was wrong with them I swung them across the bed so that they were touching the floor. I felt my heart jolt. Oops. Did the bullet hit my heart? I didn't want to think about anything other than finding Sky so I ignored my begging heart and walked forward and out of the room. I looked down the hall and saw someone who looked like a nurse.
"Hi, excuse me but where am I? Where's Sky? And Kara. What time is it? What day even is it? Why am I here?" I didn't realize I had so many questions.
"You're in Sea Breezes. You're friends are in the training room down the hall and to the right," The nurse said to me then walked away.
"Thanks," I said then walked froward. I broke into a run as soon as I reached the end of the hall. As soon as I turned I could hear swords hitting each other and people talking. I slowed to a walk and went into the room. The whole room had white padding and there was weapons on the walls on ranks. I saw Sky stop what she was doing when she looked at me.
"Hi," I said, smiling.
"Yay! You're awake!" Sky yelled happily and hugged me. I hugged her back just happy but then she squeezed me tighter.
"Oh!! I'm happy to see you to," I said fast running out of breathe, "You're choking me." I tried to pull away but she was faster. She let go of me and walked away. I think she was worried she would hurt me.
"Hey, i'm fine," I tried to comfort her.
"Oh-uh. Ok," She said not sounding convinced.
"Hey, Andrew." Kara said. She walked to me.
"Hi," I replied.
"We were training. This is Calista," Kara gestured to someone in the back of the room. It was that person who'd helped me.
"Oh, hi." I waved at her.
"Hello. Would you like to train with us?" Calista asked.
"Sure," I said then went over to put on fighting armor and grab a sword and shield. We practiced for a little then stopped to get food.
"Oh, Sky, How come you survived?" I asked. I couldn't stop thinking about that. Sky looked just as curious.
"I think my fire acted as a shield," She answered.
"Pretty cool," I said. Right as I said it I heard, "She should have died." Kara said it threw her teeth. She said it quietly but madly.
"Huh?" I asked. She looked up at me. She had previously been looking at her phone. I could see her fingers move furiously, probably typing.
"Oh... nothing," she answered then looked back down. I thought she was pretty nice and even could be a friend but if my ears worked correctly, then that was pretty weird.
"Um... ok," I replied. We started talking about Sky's fire power and how it works. Kara's fingers never stopped typing. Not once. It was like she was writing down everything we said. Or talking to someone the whole time-except for when we stopped talking. We were heading back to where they said out rooms would be and it happened to be near the front door when we heard a bang. There was some stopping and shooting of guns.
"What's that?" I asked as they got closer to us.
"You're death," Kara said then ran off. She ran towards the people. She sounded mean. Like she wanted to kill us.
