Avery’s POV

I stepped closer and I was amazed at the figure standing in front of me.

He was dressed in a Black tuxedo; he had a new haircut that brought out his manly features; his tie was off and there were two openings on his shirt making him look sexy; I was hypnotized by his appearance and it was driving me crazy.

I.B’S POV

Out of boredom I quickly excused myself when it was time for the slow dance; I was thinking of going to the bar but I didn’t want to get wasted and this evening wasn’t the best period to drink so I went round the hotel and stopped to answer a call at a lonely area until I heard footsteps and not just any footsteps I knew it was a woman because of the noise the shoes made.

‘I’ll call you when I get back’ I cut the call

I knew she was the one when I heard her voice

‘Hello’

‘Avery?’ I said a little shocked

And the expression on her face showed she was also surprised.

The figure standing before me was stunning. She was perfect, from her makeup down to her dress. Her hair was packed up and styled in a unique way and her make-up was simple but sophisticated. Her evening gown was amazing. It was a dark shade of blue which matched her eyes and the style of the dress brought out her sexy figure. I was in awe at her aura.

I quickly came back to my senses and said the first thing I cpukd think of

‘What are you doing here?’ I asked

‘Trying to escape the most boring ceremony I’ve been to this year and what are you also doing here ?’ she asked

‘Similar reason but why are you here exactly?’ I asked

‘And what do you mean by that? She asked

‘Don’t get me wrong but this is a lonely place and anything can happen’ I said

‘I came here because your stature looked familiar so I went closer to confirm’

‘And assuming I was someone else?’

‘Something would have told me’

‘Still not a good reason to be here’

‘You don’t have a say in what I do and last I checked you were never my father’ she said

‘Can you stop being so difficult?’ I said

‘Then mind your own business ‘she said

Always stubborn

There was an awkward silence between both of us so I changed the subject.

‘Anyways, you look radiant this evening’ I said trying to ease the tension

‘You don’t look so bad yourself’ she said

‘I’m surprised your mum allowed you to come for this event without a tie’ she smiled

I realised I had removed my bow tie and unbuttoned my shirt then laughed a little.

‘I’ll go and dress properly I just a few minutes-‘

‘No, don’t’ she said holding my arm then feeling a little embarrassed

‘I’m sorry’ she said as she left my arm

‘It’s alright besides I don’t want to suffocate myself in the name of decency’ I teased

She chuckled a little
