Avery’s POV

He was a little shocked when he saw me at his doorstep. Before he could say anything I hugged him and sobbed. He took me to his room and allowed me to cry on him till I stopped.

‘I’m so sorry for coming here unannounced’ I said

‘It’s okay but talk to me, what’s wrong?’ he asked concerned

‘It’s my work. I don’t know what I did to anyone to deserve the treatment I get most times. Most of my colleagues don’t like me and today my boss added me to his blacklist’ I said

‘What happened’ he asked

‘On Thursday before the event, he gave me some documents to handle before I left, I did that and gave them to Mia to cross check and it was okay just for him to angrily call me to his office, in front of my office rival to scold and insult me without investigating or knowing  my work was sabotaged. To make things worse his voice was so loud it attracted an audience and everyone at the hospital heard all he said to me. It was really embarrassing and I had no one at that moment’ I said as I cleaned my tears

‘What of Mia?’ he asked

‘She had to leave early’ I said

‘Okay’ he said

‘I’m really sorry for disturbing you, Ziri wasn’t around and I had no one so I-’

‘It’s okay, calm down besides I’m not even complaining so relax’ he said

‘Give me a few minutes’ he said as he went out of the room

I thought to myself and recalled the incidents that took place and it all made sense; it was Christie. She was the only person I saw walk into Mr Kelenna’s office and it couldn’t be a coincidence she noticed his files were sabotaged. She was the one but I just didn’t know how to prove my innocence and I didn’t want to face tomorrow.

I was lost in thoughts till I.B came in with a basket. I know you’re not comfortable here and I can’t leave you alone at home in this condition so we're going to your house. He said as he made me stand up and walked down the stairs.

As we walked down I saw a young lady; probably in her thirties and I smiled and greeted her. She smiled at me and returned the greetings.

‘Is she the housekeeper?’  I asked

‘Technically but to me she is more than that’ he said

‘You’ve really changed’ I smiled as we got into my car.

‘Yes I have’ he smiled as we left his house

When we got to my house he opened up and I helped him set the table for our dinner

‘I need a bath first’ I said

‘Okay, don’t take too long’ he said

‘I won’t’ I smiled

I.B’s POV

She  wore a pair of loose shorts and a big shirt which made her look adorable then went to the dining room for dinner.

‘Isn’t this too much for a night’ she smiled

‘Nope, besides you need to eat, I had her prepare your favourite dishes… that’s if they still are’ I said nervously

‘Of course they are, I’m surprised you still remembered’ I smiled as  she had a scoop of all the different rice dishes available

‘She’s still a foodie, that’s cute’ I smiled
