- 4 weeks later   -
Elsa paced near the post office as she waited for the Mail to be delivered.
It had been nearly 3 weeks since she had sent her first letter to Jack.
Still no response.
At first she had worried that something had happened to him or that he hadn't arrived yet, but the carrier had said that the letter in fact had arrived to Jack himself at his destination.
Surely he was just pressed for time, didn't know what to write, or had no real news yet.
But all of that didn't appease Elsa deep down.
No, deep down she knew he was just ignoring her.
Even though it was also the King and Queen awaiting his response.
Finally the carrier showed, his face grim. "Sorry Lady Elsa, no response yet."
Elsa nodded and thanked the man, trying not to let her disappointment show.

- 4 more weeks later  -
After a total of two months with no response, Elsa was angry.
She was sitting with Ana in the palace, going over breathing exercises, when once more the Mail carrier came and left with no news.
How inconsiderate could someone be to not write on such an important issue?
Forget the awkwardness between them, Elsa just really wanted to know the state of the sword at this point and if it was taken care of or not.
Ana groaned as the baby kicked.
At this point she was huge and would deliver soon.
Elsa decided she'd try again and write a letter, this time stating exactly what she wanted to know.

- 3 weeks later  -
Elsa grinned as she held her niece.
The baby had been born just that night and both the baby and mother had come out well.
While the doctor said the baby had arrived a bit earlier than expected, she was perfectly healthy and Elsa was in love.
She had Ana's red hair and Kristoffs' green eyes.
As expected, Kristoff was over the moon and already wrapped around the little girls' finger.
Both parents had agreed upon a name as soon as she arrived.
Arlen.
Elsa knew it meant "Pledge" or "Oath" in Gaelic.
As she quieted the baby down, she looked out the window, out of habit, and was in time to see the mail carrier come and go.
She had stopped expecting a reply long ago and figured Jack had either forgotten her at this point or just didn't care.
Either way, both her and Kristoff had gotten word from Jacks' blacksmith friend himself.
The sword had successfully been destroyed after many tries.
At least she could sleep peacefully knowing her forest home would never be bothered by that again.
As soon as Ana threw Arlens's celebration party, Elsa would return to Northuldra.
And everything else as well would return to normal.
Except her.
