"That nigga don't let me go nowhere," Dia mumbled to Nae sitting in the passenger's seat of her car. "He's scared something might happen to me again, I can't even get another job. Only reason I could escape today is because I snuck out. He left to take care of something but he'll be back and he'll be pissed." she said.

"Hope you ready for him to be pissed." Naomi said shaking her head already knowing how Demetrius was

Dia just shrugged her shoulders, "He just gone yell at me then we'll have some rough sex, he'll tell me to listen, I say I will, blah blah blah." she mumbled while rolling her eyes.

"Y'all some toxic ass people." Nae chuckled and removed the key from the ignition. "But oh well, come on you ready?" she asked Dia

Dia sighed but nodded anyway. They were parked directly in front of her parents' mansion and would be going inside any minute now. She was taking the time out to go and let them see her alive.

Everyone knew she was alive and well now, including her parents but they made no effort to see her. So Dia took it upon herself to see them and get answers as to why Demetrius and Calvin were saying her parents didn't care about her at all anymore. She figured it was true but needed to know why.

So they both exited Naomi's car and walked up the long driveway to reach the front door. Dia stretched her arm and reached over to ring the doorbell before standing back straight. They stood side by side, waiting for someone to answer the door.

After a few seconds, Dia's mom had finally answered the door and as soon as she got a look at Dia, she let out an audible gasp and covered her mouth. Dia rolled her eyes at the overdramatics, "Hey." she said dryly walking into the house uninvited, holding Naomi's hand.

"Who was that at the-" her dad started but stopped when he saw Dia and Nae standing at the front. He looked between the two as Dia folded her arms. "Diamonté." he greeted

She scoffed at her dad's dry tone, "This is your reaction after finally seeing your daughter after thinking she was dead?" she asked while looking around. "I guess its because you never cared in the first place." she mumbled

Inspecting the walls, she could clearly see they had removed her pictures from the walls and became even angrier. "Calvin told me after 2 days of me missing you two said I was dead. Then, hosted an entire funeral on my fucking birthday without even knowing if I was gone for real." she shook her head, "I would think you guys would care a little bit more especially after giving me up to an abusive ass nigga and not checking up on me."

Her dad spoke up when she finished, "What are we supposed to do about it? You chose your life when you decided drug dealers would be your choice of men." he said, his voice dripped in pure disgust.

Dia took a deep breath, "I didn't know he was a drug dealer. You think if I knew what he did back then I would've dated him?"

This time her mom spoke to her, "Apparently that's your style, you've been frolicking with the hoodlum Cartier for some time now you can't say you don't know what he does. I mean you can just look at him and know."

Dia nodded and shrugged, "Yeah I know he sells... but I love him so, honestly I don't care what he does nor how you feel about it." she said nonchalantly
