Basically the dance we wanted during Avengers: Endgame.

*At Tony's house*

'Now, remember--you have to return the stones to the exact moment you got them,' Bruce advised Steve, setting up the portal. 'Or you're gonna open up a bunch of nasty alternative realities.'

'Don't worry, Bruce,' Steve said, holding the case, containing the Infinity Stones. 'Clip all the branches.'

Bruce approached Steve with a grieving look on his face, avoiding Steve's gaze.

'You know,' he said sadly. 'I tried. When I had the gauntlet, the stones, I really tried to bring her back.' He musters up the courage to look at Steve. 'I miss her, man.'

Steve held back the tears threatening to form in his blue eyes. 'Me, too.'

'You know, if you want,' Sam spoke up. 'I can come with you.'

Steve smiled and shook his head. 'You're a good man, Sam,' he said wisely. 'This one's on me, though.'

He went over to Bucky.
'Don't do anything stupid 'till I get back,' he joked, reminiscing his past days.
Bucky scoffed, and smiled back. 'How can I?' he quipped back. 'You're taking all the stupid with you.'
They both hug each other. It was a very tender moment between the two men out of their time. They broke apart, Steve patted Bucky's shoulder.
'Gonna miss you, Buddy,' Bucky said, his eyes slightly moist.
Steve noticed Bucky's eyes. 'It's gonna be okay, Buck.'

Steve went over to the Quantum portal and donned his Quantum suit.

'How long is this gonna take?' Sam asked Bruce.

'For him? As long as he needs,' Bruce responded. 'For us? Five seconds.'

Steve picks up the 2013 Mjolnir.
'Ready, Cap?' Bruce asked him. Steve nodded, confirming. 'Alright. We'll meet you back here, okay?'

'You bet,' Steve said, his Quantum suit covering his face.

'Going quantum,' Bruce said, pulling the lever. 'Three, two, one--'

Steve disappeared into the Quantum portal.

'And returning in, five, four, three, two, one--'

Steve didn't appear on the pad. Bruce looked around the equipment.

'Where is he?' Sam yelled.

'I don't know,' Bruce shouted, double- checking the equipment. 'He blew right by his time stamp. He should be here.'

Bucky turns around from the pad. He notices someone on a log facing the setting sun.

'Well, get him back,'
'I'm trying,'
'Get him the hell back!'
'Hey, I said, I'm trying!'

'Sam . . .'

Sam walked toward Bucky. All three see an older looking Steve sitting on a log. Sam and Bucky go near him.

'Go ahead,' said Bucky, smiling at Sam.

He walks towards the old man and instantly recognized the now-elderly Steve Rogers.

'Cap?'
