THEDORA AND ALICE brushed through their long locks as their mother picked out dresses for them. They had arrived in Telmar before spending time with their respective husbands knowing that it would be a long time before they saw each other again.

"You're sad." Maleficent observed as she looked at her daughters. "I can always tell."

Theodora sighed deeply as she exchanged a look with her sister. "They'll have to leave again, for who knows how long this time."

Maleficent caressed her eldest's cheek. "You will see him again, even if you don't expect to. They can't stay here, but their places will always be with you." Alice joined her mother and sister on the bed.

"Are you certain that we will?" Alice asked with teary eyes.

"I am most certain." Maleficent assured her daughters who nodded tearfully. "Remember, I can technically see the future. Your father and I always know what the future holds no matter what path you take."

"How will we know that we'll see you and Father again?" Alice asked her mother who looked smiled softly.

"What does your heart tell you?" Alice and Theodora looked at each with saddened looks.

"I suppose so." Theodora began, but eventually smiled. "Yes."

"Then, we will meet again." Maleficent assured her daughters. "I wouldn't worry. Change is like the sun. You can't stop it from rising nor setting, but you can bask in its beauty and the assurances that you'll see it again at that it'll be beautiful."
