"I'm a much better driver than you,"  JJ smirked, you and him both in your mom's car on the way to your family's bistro.

"Mhm, I'm not the one who scraped the tire on the sidewalk, though," you argued, turning the car right, making sure to look for traffic.  JJ slumped in his seat, arms crossed, and you let out a secret smile.

"Parallel parking is hard!"

"For you, maybe." You looked over at JJ who was looking out the window. "I'm kidding." He looked back over you and tried to hide a smile.

"Parallel parking is hard, though," he said again, justifying his point. You chuckled and made another turn,  face going white.

"Why are we on the highway?" You asked. There were only a few cars around you, the town was not big, but you had never gone on the highway before.

"Why did you turn on to the highway?" JJ asked, sitting up suddenly, his own face filled with fear.

"I took a wrong turn!"

"Okay, just focus on not hitting another car."

It would be very difficult for you to hit another  car just because of the large space between all of you, but you made sure to check those around you every so often.

"Just take this exit," JJ instructed and you signalled, turning off the highway.

The bistro took a little while longer to get to because of the earlier events, but with JJ's help, you located the bistro and turned into the parking lot. You finally put the car in park and let out a huge breathe you didn't realize you had been holding in.

"I thought I was going to die," JJ whispered and you turned to him, jaw dropped.

"You were not going to die!" You slapped his arm and he let out a chuckle, but he kept going.

"I saw my life flash before my eyes."

"That was just the sun," you grumbled, unbuckling your seatbelt.

"Hey, y/n?" You heard and turned to look at JJ. "You really are a good driver."

You smiled and took his hand in yours.

"Just not as good as me."

It was a breezy day, the wind blowing through your hair and swaying the hammock gently. Your drivers license was in your hands and you played with the corners of it.

Flashbacks to the day you and JJ had driven to the bistro clouded your mind. That had only been a few days after you received your license. You were so excited to drive him somewhere, especially somewhere that was so special to you.

When had it gone wrong?

That was I question you couldn't answer, no matter how many times you thought about it.

You raised a hand to your hair, gently taking out your hair tie. Letting your hair fall down, you felt around until your fingers met the exposed spot of skin, which would've usually been covered by hair.
