Tom's POV:

I sat in my room, looking at the pictures that hung on my wall of Holly, Haz and i "the three musketeers" as we called ourselves when we were younger. Why couldn't she just have told them what was really happening. That was her escape. She could have left him, but instead she chose to stand by him; the man who had been bullying her for years, beating her senseless. She chose to stay why?

I'm not gonna lie it really hurt the fact that she couldn't see that it wasn't normal. I sat there thinking of all the things Holly had said in the past that was suspicious. All the times she had covered for her dad.

I sent another text over to her

No. 1 div

Me: Look Holly i'm really sorry, i'm just trying to do whats best for you. I love you so much please forgive me

No. 1 Div: FORGIVE YOU?! Child services were just at my door. Do you know how mad my dad is?! I told you everything was fine, so why couldn't you just have left it there

Me: BUT IT'S NOT! i'm just looking out for you. He's hurting you and i'm not just going to let that happen

No 1 div: I FELL DOWN THE STAIRS. he's not hurting me.

Me: we both know that's a lie.

Me: it hurts that we're not past that part in our friendship that you can tell me.

No. 1 div: TOM! STOP. I told you everything. now drop it

I was angry that she didn't do what was best for her and get herself out of there, but as much as i hated to admit it. I understood, she must be terrified.

I just want to hear her voice, to check that she's okay. Texts aren't the same. In texts i can't tell how she's feeling. I can't hear the tone of her voice. I can't tell if she's crying.
