4 years later

Holly's POV:

I stood there, staring out of the huge glass window at the beautiful scenery that surrounded the Hilton Hotel. Wow.

"Knock knock" Harrison said standing at the entrance of my room. "Wow. You, you look gorgeous" he said as he stared at me.
"Thank you" I replied a huge smile forming on my face.
"So. No second thoughts are there" Harrison asked stupidly.
I laughed "absolutely not. There's nothing to think about. I love him" I said glancing back over at Harrison who literally looked like he was going to cry.

"Haz no. Don't do it you'll make me cry and I just got my makeup done" I laughed in response to Haz' tearful face.
"No promises"
"How is he?" I asked a little worried. What if he last minute decided this wasn't what he wanted. We are still extremely young.

"Holly. Chill. He's fine. He's great actually, now I'm gonna go back to him, I'll let you finish getting ready" he said calming me down a little.

He slowly started to walk to the door getting ready to see my soon to be husband. "Harrison?" I asked stopping him in his tracks. He turned around slowly his eyes meeting mine.
"Yeah?" He replied worriedly
"I know your Tom's best man and everything, but I would love it if you could walk me down the isle" I asked, my voice was a little shaky. I'm not really sure why but I was nervous.

"Of course Holly. Honestly I'm not gonna lie I was waiting for you to ask me that but I didn't want to get to big for my own boots" he said making me laugh.

I walked closer to him, my train dragging along the soft, brown carpet. "Thank you Haz" I said wrapping him in a tight hug. I don't know where I would be without him.

The time finally came, it was time for me to marry my best friend. I took a deep breath as I started to walk down the isle.

As if like magic, my nerves were completely gone when I saw the man I was about to marry. Sure we were still a little young but I have never been more sure of anything in my life. The people who say that there's any form of hesitation when you walk down the isle clearly aren't in love. I never had any hesitation I knew Tom was the man I was going to spend the rest of my days with.

"You look stunning darling" he said as he took me off of Harrison.
"You don't look to bad yourself" I said smiling.

"Tom and Holly have chosen to create their own vows today. Tom you start" the Minister said as I looked adoringly into Tom's deep brown eyes.

"the possibility of getting with you. The possibility of starting a family with you. It was there in the back of my mind since we were 12. Haz knows this first hand because I bored him with every detail" he started as I laughed looking to the side of Tom where Harrison nodded his head whilst rolling his eyes.

"I always hoped we would be more than friends but I never wanted to do anything about it because I thought the risk of loosing you was greater than the risk of rejection. But then when you were laying there in that hospital bed for two months, I realised I didn't want to be just your friend. I wanted to be the guy you kissed goodnight and woke up to in the morning. I wanted to be the guy you told all of your secrets to. I wanted to be the guy that was responsible for your laughter" he said as I wiped the tears from my eyes.

"I promise to be there for you, to stand by your side in light and darkness. I promise to love you in sickness and health. I promise to be responsible for at least 95% of your laughter. The other 5% will be Harrison because well let's face it he's just a div" he wrapped it up as I wiped my tears from my eyes. "I love you"

"Okay now Holly it's your turn" the minister said.

"I thought love was just a concept. Something that was in fairytales, something that people just made up to make you fight hard for it. But Tom, you made me realise it's a reality. I didn't think I was capable of being loved but you made me realise that everyone deserves that. You were there for me through my toughest times and I promise to be there throughout yours. I promise to not keep score, even if I am totally winning. I promise to love you through sickness and in health. I'm good times and bad. Until death do us part" I said as I lovingly stared into his eyes which were flooded with tears. "I love you" I said smiling at him as he smiled back.

"By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride" the minister said as everyone clapped.

I kissed Tom lovingly. He really was my soulmate.

The reception

As we got seated into the dining room ready for our food, I looked around at everyone around me. Every single one of these people meant something to me. It was now time for the speeches which I was genuinely dreading considering Haz was Tom's best man so he was obliged to go one.

I got up from my chair clinking my glass which caught everyone's attention. "I just wanted to say, thank you so much to everyone who came today. It really means a lot to us" I said looking down at Tom who gave me a reassuring smile. " every single person in this room right now, means the world to me. I am incredibly great full. I would like to say a special thank you to the nurses and doctors however. Without you guys I literally wouldn't be here today. Thank you for not only taking care of me whilst I was in hospital but for taking care of Tom too. I am and will forever be great full for you guys" I said as the doctors and nurses who had taken care of me whilst I was in hospital smiled. "Now... the moment I have been dreading but I'm sure you guys are looking forward to. Haz Tom's best man, and my best friend would like to give a speech" I said which caused everyone to laugh as I sat down.

I tried to mentally prepare myself for what was coming but honestly I didn't know what to expect.
"So to start off my speech, Tom's Grandma and I actually have something we want to say to Tom and Holly" he said which made people confused but I knew exactly what was coming and so did Tom by the look on his face. They got close together and shared the microphone "we told you so" they said in unison as everyone laughed. They both did say they would do this.

"You see, Tom's Grandma and I have been trying to get the two of them together FOREVERRR. But these two divs where too bind to see that they were in love with each other. So whilst I would get overly exited stories from Tom about the time Holly "nearly" kissed him I would also get speeches from Holly saying 'she didn't know if he liked her' I tried I really did. We made family gatherings awkward but noooo you two had to take years!" Haz said making the whole speech extremely dramatic. He wrapped up the story sharing too many embarrassing stories of us for my liking but none the less it was an incredible speech.

As I looked around the room. At my Husband, at my best friend and at everyone in general. I realized I had everything I needed right in front of me. I had my family. Family isn't defined by blood it's people who can make you feel hope when you think it's lost. People who can brighten up even the dullest of days in a matter of seconds. People who can make you feel happy in your saddest times.

Tom was my family, I just hope we can grow ours.
