Snow had begun to fall rather heavily, powdered on the roofs and outdoor overhangs. Harry'd forgotten his gloves before he went outside, but still attempted to pass over the leftover warmth to Draco's hands, quietly stroking them. Together they sat at the base an outdoor tree. "What're you doing for Christmas?"

      "Probably visiting my father,"

"I'm sorry," Harry felt a tinge of remorse.

      "Don't be,"

      "After that, then?"

"Harry, I need to warn you." Draco declared seriously.

      "Of what, love?"

      "He might not allow it,"

"You're not under his control anymore-"

"I know," his expression hardened. "But something could happen-"

"So you're choosing a man in prison over me." Harry stood up indignantly, preparing to turn away at any moment.

      "That isn't what I'm saying."

"Sure as hell feels like it."

      "Wait-"

      "What?" Harry turned back around.

"Don't leave," the tint of sorrow in Draco's voice compelled him to sit back down. "I promise, I really do care."

"I know. I'm sorry." Draco's head rested in the crook of his neck.

      "I'll go to Weasley's."

      "You sure?"

      "I'm sure."

      "Ron, isitokayifDracocomesover?" Harry blurted nervously.

      "Mate, what?"

      "Isitokayif-"

      "Slow down."

"Can Draco come over for Christmas?"

"Hey, it's fine. I'm sure the house has room." He nearly choked Ron in a crushing embrace, causing his ears to redden considerably. "But, Harry, right now? You should've asked a few days before we got on the damn train."

      "Don't ruin the moment."
