The Final Year (vol 1)

"What is wrong with you?! Why did you push that boy?! Were you trying to get him killed?!" Adeola screamed at me, trailing behind me with others.

"Am not in the mood for your tantrum princess" I took off my jacket, on getting to my living room as I take a seat on one of the cushion. My friends watched me like a ticking bomb.

"I don't care if you are in the mood or not! You need to apologize "

"Why should I apologize?"

"I don't know but Teni's face said it all. I don't know what horrible words you spilled out of your disgusting mouth but she looks hurt so you need to apologize"

I chuckled sarcastically at her words, looking at her angry face which did nothing to scare me.

"Come to think of it... When did you become a fan of Teniola that you started defending her so much. I know have an atom of hate in you for her" her face falls.

"Shubomi_" Adeolu warned.

"No.. Don't play the big brother card here, let your overachieving sister defend herself" I turn to met her eyes who looks hurt "so tell me, what changed? Cause I know you have a speck of hate for her due to the fact that she caught the eye of the guy you love_" I taunt.

"Stop it Shubomi" Folahami warned.

"No... Am going to answer his question, at least he asked it" she said staring me down even though am much taller than her. "Yes, i never like her from the onset, i judged her due to the encounter I had with people like her and her family background, but when I moved closer and got to discover who Teniola Enitan Coker is, i realized I was wrong. She is loyal to her friends and very kind.... She is not unlovable. We can all see that since she found a place in everyone's heart especially you Shubomi. " she points at me with glaring eyes. "Yes, the person I love likes her but that is not going to stop me from befriending her. She is a good person and for that she has my loyalty!" she said before turning around to walk away but stops "maybe you don't deserve her"

I watch has her petite figure walked away, her last words ringing in my head. I watch has Prince glared at me before following his sister, Folahami rolled his eyes at me doing the same leaving me with Tokunbo.

Before he could open his mouth I cut him off.

"I will like to be left alone" I said, my voice leaving no room for arguments. I hear him sigh, watching him take his leave.

I groan recalling her hurt expression back at the resort, I grab the ceramic vase on the table  throwing it at the wall to let out some anger.

Was she going to reject me? No one as ever rejected me!

I need to let loose....

I grabbed my phone calling my trusty booty call.

"... Hello baby... " i winced at her attempt of a sultry voice.

".... I need you right now... " I can feel her smirking.

I pop another chocolatey yummy ball of M&M into my mouth, reading through the book 'Native Son'. One of the recommended text for our final exam.

Am currently in the private living room which was only for privacy, the first living room was for receiving visitors. I keep zoning in and out while reading, i can't concentrate due to what happened yesterday.

Was I too harsh on him?

I sigh flipping through the pages of the novel. He is not here yet he was distracting me.
