“You must target the Hamon to your fingertips! Focus just on your fingers, not the entirety of your hand,” Lisa Lisa scolded, for what felt like the hundredth time. I felt my eye twitch in annoyance before I huffed and took a deep breath before trying again. I felt something hit the back of my head, and my body jerked forwards as my shoulders tensed up.

“Stop taking such deep breaths! The bigger the breath, the bigger the Hamon!” Master Xiao said, removing the rolled-up newspaper from the top of my head. I heard snickering and glared in the direction of Joseph and Caesar.

“Enough you two!” Lisa Lisa barked, spinning to face them. “You’re distracting her.”

“Sorry Coach,” They both muttered quietly. I rolled my eyes.

“Focus everything on your fingertips. Take small breaths and breath normally. Now, try again,” I did so, but, once again, I failed. I slammed my hands on the ground.

“This is useless! I’m never gonna be able to do it! It’s so frustrating!” I yelled. Master Xiao hit me over the head again.

“Stop telling yourself that. You aren’t concentrating hard enough!” He said.

“How am I not concentrating enough?!” I barked, groaning as I rubbed the sides of my head. This was all becoming an annoyance. Joseph and Caesar made it look so easy. Why couldn’t I make a little spark?

“I have an idea,” Lisa Lisa said, extending her hand down to me. I looked up at her as I took it, allowing her to pull me to my feet.

“Well?” Joseph asked, pushing off the wall to walk towards us.

“Some Hamon users cannot properly wield Hamon alone,” She said.

“Some infuse it,” Caesar said, his face lighting up in realization. “Y/n, you can’t form Hamon properly because you aren’t able to wield it like Joseph and me.”

“So how am I supposed to wield it then?” I asked, looking between them.

“Jojo, go get some oil,” Lisa Lisa said.

“You got it!” The brunette said before disappearing into the hall. I turned back to Lisa Lisa, who was opening a drawer. From inside, she pulled out two daggers. The blades were a shiny silver, and the handles looked to be hand-carved and wrapped with leather.

“Y/n, you will be the first infuser to ever come under my study,” Lisa Lisa said, holding the blades out to me. I slowly took them into my hands. I gasped as golden sparks shot from my hands and wrapped around the blades before seemingly seeping into the metal. Golden marks began to appear on the surface like someone had engraved them into the blade. It looked like some kind of old foreign language.

“Hamon is like electricity,” Lisa Lisa said as Joseph returned, handing her a cup of oil. “Which means it has conductors. Hamon and oil are a very powerful combination and are deadly to the undead. Coating the silver blade in oil will further strengthen your Hamon, and create a harmless weapon to humans, but something much sinister for vampires and zombies.”

I watched as Lisa Lisa ran her fingers along the blade, hard enough that the blade would pierce her skin, but nothing happened. She then grabbed a vial from the drawer and poured the oil into it and then handed it to me. “Keep these with you at all times,” She instructed. I nodded and slipped them into the sheaths she’d given me.

“Woah-ho-ho!” Joseph called as I walked past. I stopped and turned my head towards him, lowering the towel away from my face.

“What are you staring at?” I asked, watching as both he and Caesar looked me up and down. Joseph was frowning slightly, and Caesar had a blush on his cheeks.
