Chapter 27

It's been 2 days, Casey still hasn't woken up. I'm a mess, I've still got my hair curly from my wedding.

I'm sat staring at my ring, twirling it round on my finger when the door opens, I see Chet, Keith, Tracey and Coral walk in "Wheres the kids" I frown "Riks got them" Tracey smiles, I nod and look down and back up again at Casey's lifeless body "He's going to be ok isn't he?" I whisper, my voice shaking;
Chet takes a seat next to me and grabs my left hand "Course he is" he smiles, I close my eyes and feel them sting as tears start to form "Does anyone want a drink?" I smile weakly, standing up, "Pey! Go home, have a shower and come back" Coral smiles sympathetically, "Why?" I frown "You've got your wedding hair" she laughs, "Phone me if you know anything" I smile "I'll take you home" Chet smiles.

Once I was dressed in trackie bottoms, a vest top and one of Casey's jumpers with my Ugg boots, I leave with Chet, my hairs still a bit damp so I left it down.
I open the door and see Casey still lying there, eyes closed. I sigh and sit back down next to the bed. "Any news" I ask
"He should be awake in about an hour or so but they wanna do tests and stuff" Keith informs me, the wait is horrible as is taking forever.
"I need some air" I whisper as tears fall, I walk out and put my hand on my forehead and slide down the side of a vending machine and cry, I hug my knees and burry my head in my lap, What if he never wakes up.
All these thoughts run through my head but I suddenly head my name being shouted, I look from behind the vending machine and see Chet "He's awake" he smiles, I stand up, wiping my tears and walk in the door, I see Casey's eyes glisten and he smiles, he reaches for my hand and speaks "I've missed you" he whispers "I missed you too" I smile
