So, in the movie the ninja- before thy get to the temple thing- don't have powers and resort to using mechs. But when they find the chest, they get amulets that resembles their element. And yeah, they didn't use their powers holding them, and it was only when Lloyd told them they could. But I feel like if they're in close proximity of the amulet, it could still work.
This brings up some questions about this au. Like, do Garmadon and Wu have amulets? Now that I think about it, Wu might have one since he could use the ninja's Amulets in front of them. But do the other elemental masters? Actually, do they even exist in the movie?
