*Two months later*

"You seeing someone?" you heard Derek's voice beside you

"What" you looked up from your phone to face him across from your desk

"Every time your phone lights up, you answer it"

"Okay and?" you slid your phone into your pocket

"You hate the phone"

"I don't hate the phone" you made a slight error, you avoided eye contact and lied. You did hate the phone. The main reason being all the tiny buttons you had to press for one letter.

In front of you Spencer spoke up "Actually you do"

You rose your eyebrows at him, he was the one you were texting and he was about to blow your cover until he began to ramble some facts "Hey did you know that Alexander Graham Bell and Eli Gray both simultaneously invented electronic sound transmission devices. It came down to a race betwixt the two-"

You finished for him "And Bell beat Gray to the patent office by a matter of hours"

Both Derek and Spencer looked at you with questionable faces "What? I read too"

"Your acting weird" Derek didn't drop the subject and continued to nag

"Spencer knows that there are 800 kernels of corn on the average cob-"

Spencer now finished your sentence "Arranged in 16 separate rows"

"And I'm the weird one?"

"You have a boyfriend don't you?" Derek continued to insist

"You are basing this on the fact that I don't like the phone" you laughed "Come on Derek you have been a profiler for how long and that's your best, that is weak"

"What's weak" Emily came walking in with JJ. They headed towards the conference room which meant of course another case

"Morgan thinks Y/n has a boyfriend" Spencer was really pushing your buttons today

"Nothing" you announced over Spencer

"Nothing-- see you just denied it" Derek stood up and continued to talk

"Do you?" JJ turned her head slightly to question you

"Even if I did that is no one's business" you and Spencer walked behind everyone

You watched Derek point his finger towards the sky with a slight jump in front of you "That right there is a yes baby"

"She didn't really admit to anything" Spencer side eyed you and you couldn't help but smile

"Reid trust me you have a lot to learn"

"I guess I do" he shrugged

You nudged his side before walking in front of him. Before you entered the conference room you turned to face him for a second and mouthed to him "I'm going to kill you"

"I'm so hungry" you whined as you entered your apartment with Spencer "But I'm so exhausted, next time there's a case that lasts more than a week I'm calling in sick"

"We should order in" Spencer kicked off his shoes and followed you to your living room.

"Ah that sounds like the perfect plan" you plopped onto the couch "Does pizza sound good"
