The Job

You walked through the glass doors with a pair of sunglasses trying to block out any light willing to shine on your face. You rushed into the break room for some coffee, JJ had followed behind.

"Long night" she giggled

"Shut it Jennifer" you groaned, trying your best to smile

"Here let me help" she prepared the coffee for you and walked with you to your desk "I should have an Ibuprofen or something in my bag"

"Uh no it's okay thanks" you muttered

Walking towards your desk you saw Tara and Luke joking around, Luke spotted you and signaled you to get closer. Both you and JJ began to listen

"Y/n you have got to listen to this" he smiled

"Wha-.. Luke it's true" Tara smirked

"There are actual sexual positions that produce ugly babies" he shook his head

"Yes it's been proven" Tara tried to prove a point but you were skeptical

"By who"

"Your mom" she swiftly took a sip of her coffee

You and JJ burst into a fit of laughter while you heard him say "oh it's on". You continued to laugh until you felt your head being to feel like it was about to explode "Ow"

"That's what you get" he laughed and pointed at your glasses

"Stop yelling newbie" you held your hand out and walked away, head pounding

Spencer was sitting at his desk reading a book so you walked over to him, last nights memories were a blur but he was the last person you called on your contact list, might as well thank him

"Hey" he flinched at your presence "you okay?"

"I'm fine" he avoided eye contact

"I just wanted to thank you for bringing me home" you removed the shades off of your face and adjusted to the light "I know that drunk words are just sober thoughts but I hope I didn't say anything too stupid"

You saw the look on his face, it was like he had seen a ghost. You tried your best remembering the night before but it was a blur. All you knew was that Spencer had taken you home. Had you really said something so horrible. "Well I guess I did say something stupid"

"No sorry I'm just a little distracted but it's all good" he smiled

You could tell that he was trying his best to hide his true emotions, but once again you weren't allowed to profile each other. You fumbled with your thumb's as you smiled and walked back to your desk

"Me? Undercover?" your jaw basically dropped to the floor

"That's what I said" Emily's lips formed a thin line and she raised her eyebrows at you, you didn't want to question her authority but you didn't want to go through with this due to personal reasons

"And Spencer has to act like he's cheating on his wife? With me?" you exaggerated your hand gestures baffled at the case that was brought upon you this week

"Wait pause do we have to kiss and stuff" Spencer sounded like a 15 year old boy who never held hands with a girl

"No but you do have to get flirty and if it gets to that point then yes"

"Why us" you stumbled over your thoughts

"You and Reid have more experience in the field together" Emily said it as simple as that before moving to the next topic "This unsub is going after people who are caught in an affair so Reid you will wear a wedding band and sit alone at the bar while Y/n waits for a couple of minutes. Once you are both inside start acting flirty and eventually draw the unsub towards a designated area"
