Christmas Eve

Mia was out shopping for some last-minute wrapping paper and gifts she dropped Ryder off with Rashadd's mother since she asked to, see him. Right now she was in target looking through the left-over wrapping paper options, she rolled her eyes and just picked up anything because none of them matched what she had at home.

Before leaving the store, she picked up some bottles of wine for dinner at Kennedy's condo Christmas Day it was her year to host. She grabbed the bags walked out to her jeep to head home to finish up gift wrapping and cleaning. On the ride home her phone rang it was Casheem calling her she picked up

"Casheem" she sang into the phone looking straight ahead at the road "What's up Pretty Face" he spoke into the speakers of her car

"Thank you for the flowers and earrings you sent to my office yesterday" she smiled he had flowers and diamond stud earrings with a note attached sent to her office. He was romancing her heavy after the night they made love at his house they never slept together again after that but they did lunch and continued to talk everyday "That's nothing Mia, But I wanna see you tonight" he said

"You know I can't Cas it's Christmas eve we agreed to New Year's Eve remember" her voice got low she felt bad cause she did truly want to be with him tonight but Rashadd finally decided to stay home for once. "That's iight just know the invitation still stands if you change your mind" his tone changed he often had to remind himself Mia was married to another man he had to relax

"Okay, let me see if I could I'll let you know" she said pulling up in her driveway "iight" was all he said before ending their call. Mia got out the car grabbed the bags and walked to the front door to unlock it

Rashadd was inside the house pacing back and forth he was drunk and just did 4 lines of coke. Everything seemed to be going wrong for him right now he was running his business to the ground, his side bitch was allegeding she was pregnant, and now his cousin Marco just left his house from telling him what he seen his wife out and about doing.

Mia walked through the front door with all the bags in her hand "Shadd!" she yelled through the house so he could help her but he didn't answer she walked in the kitchen to put some of the things she bought away. She closed the pantry door he was standing right there with red eyes "Where you been at Mia" he looked at her "At the stores picking up some last-minute stuff, why?" she gave him attitude he had some nerve questioning her after being gone for a whole week without communication

She walked into the living room to put the wrapping paper in there leaving her phone on the counter Rashadd grabbed it and went straight upstairs to go through it in the bedroom. He went through her text messages first looking for any names that didn't ring a bell to him, he didn't find anything because she wasn't stupid enough to have it saved next, he went through her call log looking for suspicious numbers or names he stumbled across the last number that called her that wasn't saved but she talked to them for 45minutes.

He called the number back Casheem picked up on the second ring thinking it was Mia "Tell me somethin' good Pretty Face" Cash answered the call "Who the fuck is this? How you know my Wife dawg" Rashadd's voice roared through the phone "My fault fam I thought this was somebody else" Cash lied for the sake of Mia because if it was up to him, he'd tell his lame ass what was really up but he respected Mia way too much

"You really a bitch nigga can't even tell me you fuckin' my Wife like a man" Rashadd yelled "Wrong number" Cash said hanging up on him

Rashadd gripped her phone tightly as he put it in his pocket before grabbing her studded Gucci belt off the chair and running down stairs. Mia was sitting in the living room listening to Christmas music wrapping gifts Rashadd came running in the room she looked up "What's wrong with you Grinch" she smiled at him, he rushed her she jumped up staring at him he looked crazy, high, and enraged.
