3weeks later...

Dominic was standing outside the courtroom taking a deep breath it was the 12th day of her trial and she was nervous as hell. Gabe told her to stay calm, stay cool and don't speak unless she was asked to take the stand. He also told her keep whoever came to court that day to a minimum because some ugly things in her past could and might surface.

So she only invited the girls and Toi's mother Tamara since she was the closest thing she ever had to a mother. Gabe got some inside information that the District Attorney was desperate because her case weak so, she was digging around in Dominic's past life. Luckily for him Dom had a squeaky clean record never even got a speeding ticket before he was more than prepared for every trick the DA had up her sleeve

"Dominic are you ready?" He touched her shoulder she shook her head "Yea, yes" she cleared her throat walking towards the courtroom so, the trial could begin.

After hours of the DA bringing down Dominic's character basically bringing up her crack addicted mother and the many foster homes she'd been in and out of until she was the age of 16 the judge started bringing everything to a quick recess. Some of the looks on the jurors face read horrified that the system had failed that broken little girl that Dominic was. Instead of it damaging Dom's case it actually helped the DA opened a door she really didn't want to and Gabe didn't stop her because it was working great in his favor.

During recess Dom let all her tears go hearing all those things from her past, things she never ever thought about really hurt her it was like throwing salt on a fresh wound. She always had to be so strong she never ever got the chance to just cry and hurt.

Gabe walked up to her pulling her into a hug "It's okay that's your past it made you into an incredible woman" he rubbed her back soothing her the girls weren't allowed to be back where they were. He dabbed her face with a napkin trying to get rid of her tear stains

"Thanks Gabriel I'm okay, just havin' a stupid moment" Dom took the napkin "Ain't nothing stupid about you Dominic" He said. Their eyes met for a split second before the door opened "It's time" the court official said they both pulled it together before walking out

Hours later...

Mia finally made it home after being with the girls at Dominic's trial all day. She took off her pumps prior to taking a seat on her couch today was an emotional day hearing all those things Dom had to endure it hurt Mia's soul she couldn't imagine "Baby I ain't know you was back" Rashadd came walking in the living room sniffling with red eyes "Yup" she popped the p she was already annoyed because she could tell he was high

"Where's Ryder?" He asked "With your mother" she answered he kissed her lips tugging up her skirt. She rolled her eyes but let him continue she wasn't in the mood to fight or argue about her not being in the mood "Damn I thought you was getting these removed" he looked over the stretch marks on the sides of her butt. She pushed him off of her "Move" she said to him as she got up to go upstairs "What?? It would look better" he yelled after her and she slammed the bedroom door behind her

Kennedy and Tamir were arguing for the 20th time this week about the wedding. What type of food should be served, where it should be, and everything else she was over the bullshit "You know what fuck it Mir" Kennedy yelled. Tamir sat on the edge of the bed looking at her walk back and forth like a crazed maniac "So you don't wanna marry me anymore?" He looked at her with a straight face

"No Baby I do... I'd marry you assed naked standing in a trash can" she paused laughing out loud "It's just all of this extra shit look at this guest list" she pointed he grabbed her by the hips to stand in front of him "So, marry me tomorrow at courthouse skip all this" he kissed her lips "You, me, your mom, and mine" he looked at her "What about the girls,and your brothers we've already asked them to be in the wedding" she asked

"We can do an announcement party later that night" he smiled she pushed him back on the bed kissing his lips "I have so much to do..." Kennedy babbled on Tamir just laid there listening to it all

Toyomi was laid in bed with Milan he was rubbing her feet while they watched Snowfall together "Can you rub my head next?" He looked over to her "Come here big baby" she cooed he laid his head on her lower stomach she started rubbing his head and he started caressing her thighs

"Wanna talk about the trial today" he looked up at her "No" she rubbed his beard "I heard Paris on the radio today with Mir" she smirked down at him "you fuckin' with it?" he asked with his eyes closed "It's a vibe one of my favs right now" she smiled "They should do a video" she added "You right I'ma get Cash to set that up" he nodded in agreement

Milan's eyes started to get heavy Toyomi's little hands massaging his head made me fall asleep quick he was snoring with his arms wrapped around her hips and thighs. His phone started vibrating so she answered "Hello" her voice came off sweet "Hey is this Milan's phone?" the girl asked in a confused manner Toyomi felt her heart starting to speed up this conversation was seeming too familiar again "Yes it's his phone, he's busy right now maybe I could help you" she asked the girl

"My name is Sherry I'm Keisha's sister... are you Toi?" Sherry asked she remembered Kylie saying Toyomi's name one day "Yes that's me" Toyomi listened to Sherry talk feeling more relieved now "I was calling because my sister missed her flight and I need Mil to come pick Kylie up because I have to work tonight" Sherry said "Don't worry I could meet you somewhere to pick her up" Toyomi offered 

Sherry was running late so, she agreed and told Toi to meet her at CVS up the street from her job

Toyomi slipped from underneath a snoring Milan put on a pair of jeans and a tee-shirt with a jean jacket before she grabbed Milan's car keys and left. On the ride over to the CVS Toyomi was praying Sherry was nothing like her sister Keisha she wasn't in the mood for drama. Toyomi parked in an empty spot pulled out here phone to answer a text from Kennedy telling her and Milan not to make plans for the following night she texted back okay. Sherry pulled up next to Toi and rolled down her window "Toi?" Sherry asked as if she didn't know, Keisha made her stalk Toyomi's Instagram page all the time

"Yup, that's me" Toyomi smiled at her before getting out the car to gather Kylie's things. Sherry was actually shocked she was much nicer than her sister lead on. Sherry put a sleeping Kylie in the back "Thank you again" Sherry waved before jumping in her car speeding off to work.

Toyomi got in the car heading home Kylie was in the back knocked out it was crazy how much she looked like dad.

Once they arrived home she carried Kylie upstairs to her and Milan's bed where he was still snoring. She put Kylie on one side of Milan and she snuggled up on the other, she closed her eyes falling asleep too.
