Mia hadn't been home since Rashadd put his hands on her, she had been staying with Dom at her very spacious apartment. Rashadd never reached out to apologize to her either but, what hurt her the most was he never checked for his son during the holidays

All Ryder did was ask about his dad and when he was coming to get him, every Saturday he'd dress up and wait by the door with his night bag it broke Mia's heart she even over heard Dom crying about it to Toyomi one night when she was on the phone with her.

Mia woke up early Friday morning to get Ryder ready for school but he was already up and dressed "Good morning" she kissed his forehead "Morning Mommy there's no school today maybe Dad will come for me" he smiled with his eyes filled with hope "Ry I forgot all about you not having school today, I'll call your father now" she said walking back to her room to get her phone.

She called Rashadd but he didn't answer so, she sent him a text begging him to call his son or come see him only for a few minutes. After that she walked back to the front room "So what did he say Mommy" he said with excitement "He'll call us after work" she smiled it really hurt her to lie to her son "Okay" he shrugged before he sat down on the floor by the door

Dom walked through the front door from the gym "Sup boo why you sittin' on the floor so close to the door" she raised her brow drinking from her water bottle "Just waiting for my Dad Auntie Dom" he shrugged before pulling out his Nintendo leaning back on his little over night bag he packed himself

Dominic walked over to Mia "Please tell me he's really coming this time" she whispered to Mia, she shook her head no. Dominic sighed before walking to her room to shower she had a meeting with her attorney. Mia walked into the kitchen she needed a cup of coffee her phone started ringing it was Cash FaceTiming her

She answered "Hello" she looked into the camera "Good morning Pretty Face why you pouting" he smiled at her "No reason just Ryder waiting for his dad again" she said sipping her coffee "I'ma have Kylie later I'm taking her to a Knicks game y'all are welcomed to my two other tickets if you want, game starts at 5" he looked at her face in the camera the frown she had instantly turned into a smile he was so happy he could do that for her

"He absolutely loves the Knicks I'll let you know I'm hoping his dad really shows up for him" she half smiled Cash loved that about her even though Rashadd put her through so much she still spoke positivity into his name "Either way I'm here love but, let me hit you back Kylie is calling me about matching outfits tonight" he shook his head making her laugh "Okay super Uncle" she smiled before ending the call

"Hey Ry!!" she yelled from the kitchen he came running in "If your dad doesn't come wanna go to a Knicks game?" She asked he jumped up with excitement "Really?" he asked her "Yup" she shook her head "Okay" he smiled "Oh Kylie might be there too" she smiled and his smile got bigger before he ran off towards his room she was relieved to have a back up plan just in case Rashadd never came through

Dominic walked out her room wearing high waisted black jeans, an off the shoulder brown shirt, black and brown fendi boots. She had her hair in a low ponytail with a swoop on the side. Dom was looking like she was dressed to kill "Well excuse me Miss Mamas" Mia dramatically rolled her neck "Where are you going?" Mia questioned "To meet with my lawyer" Dom gave her a duh face

"Umm Mr. Greyson... Okay sis" Mia teased "Don't start Mi" Dominic blushed slightly before applying nude lipgloss "Okay, whatever you say" Mia threw her hands up in defense. Dominic just shook her head before walking out the house "I know that bitch like him" Mia said to herself giggling

Dominic walked in her attorney's office for their scheduled meeting, Gabriel Greyson was one of the youngest and best criminal defense lawyers in the city. "Good morning Ms. Colors" Gabriel smiled at her while pulling out her chair "Good afternoon Mr. Greyson" she sat in the chair placing her purse in the seat next to her

"It is afternoon and you could most definitely call me Gabe" he sat in front of her at his desk "Mr. Greyson makes me feel old" he said placing the case files on the desk "Okay Gabe then you can call me Dominic" she crossed her legs

"So Sebastian has came forward and wants to get on the stand to testify for you" Gabriel looked up from the papers "We could take it to trail or take the District attorneys deal" he flipped through the deal the DA was offering "So what are they offering?" She chewed the corner of her lip out of nervousness. She killed a man she knew this was a very serious thing

"They're offering involuntary manslaughter 11months and a $20,000 fine" he looked at her "With Sebastian as a witness now I'm sure I could get them to go lower" he said to her. They sat there for 2hours discussing the case Gabriel was confident everything would work out fine for Dominic

Dominic sat in the chair looking out Gabriel's window she was worried he held her hand in his "Dominic I promise everything will workout if they don't come with a better deal we'll take it to trail" he rubbed the back of her hand and smiled. Gabriel liked Dominic as a person and promised Casheem he'd do everything in his power to make sure she was okay so he was going to make good on his word. Dominic looked up with a faint smile "I hope so Gabriel" she exhaled deeply

He put all his papers in his briefcase before standing up "Let me take you to lunch maybe that will make you feel better" he held the door open for her "Okay I could eat" she shrugged before walking out the door Gabriel was very professional but, he couldn't help sneaking a peek at her body

Toyomi was in Milan's home office looking over contracts for India her eyes were starting to get heavy. Milan walked in the office "Baby it's just me and you tonight Cash is taking Ky to a Knicks game he gave my ticket to Ryder" he kissed her neck "Okay" she looked up from the papers "Take a break Ma come layup wit me rub my head" he stood her up out her seat "Okay Babe carry me on your back I'm tired" she hopped up on his back

He carried her to the bed then threw her off his back onto the bed she laughed. He got between her legs and laid his head on her stomach she started rubbing his head until his eyes closed. Toyomi turned on a movie they both laid there together relaxing for the evening

Ryder was so excited about the Knicks games he hadn't even realize his dad never showed up, Mia couldn't front she was excited about the game too "Mommy when we get there can I get popcorn and a soda?" He asked her excitedly as they got out the car to meet up with Casheem and Kylie

Cash was low key hype Mia took him up on his offer when she said yes he snatched his tickets back from Tamir and Milan they didn't even trip because they knew he just wanted to kick it with Mia. Ryder and Mia walked up wearing matching Knicks hoodies Cash thought it was cute he smiled "Wassup lil man" he held his hand up for a high five and Ryder slapped it before him and Kylie went running up ahead of them

"You know I feel like me and Kylie should be matching with you and Ryder" Cash laughed right before stopping at a gift shop to get him and Kylie matching hoodies. They stopped to get slurpee's and a bunch of snacks before taking their seats the kids were hype so was Mia, Casheem was so happy to see that spark in her eyes. Around half time Mia felt her phone vibrate it was a text from Rashadd saying he was busy and would see what he could do all she responded was Okay she was done begging him to be a husband and a father

"Pretty Face you okay? I was thinking about taking the kids to a arcade after this... you down?" He looked up at her "Only if you buy me a burger and fries" she laughed loudly Cash had to stop himself from kissing her in front of the kids "You know you could get whatever" he shrugged nonchalantly but spoke honestly

Cash just sat back watching the kids and Mia enjoy the game only thing that mattered was he was able to make them smile even if it was for a few hours "Uncle Cash can we buy my daddy a hat?" Kylie asked him "Whatever you want Ky you running it right now" he took his phone she was handing him back
