2Months later...

Toyomi was on FaceTime with Milan he was away touring with Tamir and Paris. After their song Vibes went platinum, they started getting booked left and right for shows both together and separate. When Paris's mixtape took off, she begged Cash and Milan to sign her plus make Toyomi her Lawyer, they agreed under one condition she'd still do school and get her degree.

"Look at ya fine ass I miss you" Milan looked into the camera smirking at Toyomi getting dressed for Dominic's big day in court the verdict. Milan just wanted to make her smile he knew she was nervous as hell you would've thought she was on trial too.

Toi smiled small "So how's Cali?" She buttoned up her shirt "It's goin' great sold out shows every night, early radio shows in the morning... it's iight" he watched her continue to get dressed "That's great Babe I love that for you... for y'all" she said while brushing her hair

"My Baby gettin' thick, turn around let me see them yams" he grinned "Shut up" she burst out into giggles "For real tho, Aye I love you. Gotta go call me later about everything" Milan said "I love you, okay" she ended the call continuing to get ready she was happy India gave her the day off because she didn't know what to expect in the courtroom that morning.

Mia had taken the day off from work to be by Dominic's side for the verdict that day. She was nervous about that and to top it off Rashadd hadn't been home in 3days didn't call or text either. She honestly didn't care she felt at peace when he wasn't around down talking her motherhood and body shaming her. Mia was glad when Tamara came over the night before to pick up Ryder, she said a courtroom is no place for a child and she was right.

She grabbed her car keys and purse locked up the house jumped in her car heading for the courthouse. On the way there her phone started ringing she answered staring at the traffic glad she left her house earlier than she needed to "Hello" Mia's voice came off friendly "Is this Mia? Mia Wright?" the woman's voice came off polite "That's me, who is this?" she asked

"You don't know me but, I've been having an affair with your husband Rashadd for 2years and I wanna come clean" the woman said making the line go silent but, Mia sure was listening had her full attention

"I guess I'm calling because I can't find him I'm sure he's on a binge or somethin' but, I wanted him to know I didn't go through with our pregnancy" she started crying into the phone "Being at your house the other day while you were at work really made me feel I could never compare idk why I even try to convince him I'm the one" the woman continued to cry

Mia was stunned at the audacity of this woman to call her with this bullshit she could give two fucks about crying playing victim when in fact Mia had been the damn fool and victim right along with her son. She thought to herself before responding "Well sweetheart at least you know you can't but, don't worry he'll be all yours very soon. Have a blessed day" she said sweetly before hanging up the phone

In Mia's mind she was more than ready for a divorce there was no more respect or love between them just two stranger living amongst each other. Yes, she loved him but she wasn't in love with him anymore he broke his promises and vows repeatedly and Mia wanted out to be free plus she could tell it was starting to affect Ryder too.

For the rest of the ride, she thought to herself how she wasn't going to make a big deal of this situation just figure out how she was going to start the divorce proceedings the proper way.

2hours later...

Dominic sat quietly as the Judge turned to speak to the jury "Members of the jury, you have heard all of the testimony concerning this case. It is now up to you to determine the facts. You and you alone, are the judges of the fact. Once you decide what facts the evidence proves, you must then apply the law as I give it to you to the facts as you find them." Judge Morris said to the jury before the bailiff yelled

"All Rise" for the jurors to be escorted to the next room to deliberate Dominics fate

During the recess Dom was breaking down on her knees crying her eyes out for the first time ever she was scared, scared that her life could be ripped away from her and she could be thrown in a cell for the rest of her life like an animal.

"Dom it's okay we're family whatever the verdict reads we got you for life Mamas" Kennedy rubbed her back in circular motions

Gabe walked over to the girls "You girls can't stay in here you could get us in trouble. I promise I'll keep her calm" he ushered the girls out the room before they got caught

"Okay, okay we love you Dom" Toi kissed her forehead before walking out the room behind Kennedy "We'll do a prayer for you out there, okay?" Mia dabbed her face with a napkin Dominic shook her head quickly

After the girls left Gabriel made good on his promise he got Dom back in good spirits laughing and smiling even convinced her to eat lunch he ordered them "You know Mr. Greyson this has been one hell of a run, thank you for your patience with me and my wild ass ways" she smiled small picking up her lo mein with her chopsticks "No thanks for trusting me with your life basically" he chuckled right before the napkin she threw hit the side of his face

A few hours later the Judge was calling them back into the court room the jury had reached a verdict Dominic walked in the courtroom with her head held high, her family behind her no matter what kind of fate the jury held in their hands she was ready.

Judge Morris looked up "Have the jury reached a verdict?" she faced them "Yes, we have, your Honor." the chosen juror spoke "Proceed" Judge Morris gave a head nod to continue

"We the jury, in the case of The State of New York City versus Dominic Colors, find the defendant NOT GULITY of the charge Involuntary manslaughter" the juror read off

A sigh of relief left Dom's lips tears rushed her face, tears of joy and happiness the girls squeezed each other's hands as they sat behind her listening to the verdict as well. Apart of them on the inside wanted to jump up and praise God but, they would save that for later

"Thank you, Jury, for your service today and thank you Miss Colors for beating the odds no matter how many times the system let you down and I hope I NEVER see you in my courtroom again let this be a lesson and a warning Court is adjourned." Judge Morris banged her gavel

Once the courtroom cleared out it was just Dom, the girls, and Gabe Dominic dropped to her knees thanking her lord and saver for guiding her through this tough time and never forsaking her. "Thank you heavenly father" she repeated over and over. The girls helped her up into a big sisterly hug "You really the goat" Kenn tried to lighten the mood "I'm blessed" she smiled big

"I told you, I had you" Gabe stuck out his hand for a handshake but, she pulled him into a hug "I give hugs to the man who saved my life" she smirked

"We'll bring the car around" Mia said to her pulling the girls in the direct of the car giving Dom a minute with Mr. Greyson

"Probably should get going don't wanna keep the girls waiting" she awkwardly looked around "Yea, make sure you come by the office Tuesday so we could sign off on some papers" he said holding the door open for her to walk out first
