I was already sitting in my seat, I'm grouped with Chad, Doug, and Evie. I don't mind them at all but Chad is a different story. Mr. Deley started his lesson and Chad started already cheating by looking at my paper. I looked at him and covered the paper with my hand. He started pouting signifying me to remove my hand. I shake my head and pointing at the blackboard where the teacher is. He simply rolled his eyes and looked back at his paper
"Any chance he's in line for a throne?" I heard Evie ask Doug "Anywhere in line" she admired Chad. Honestly, he got nothing there, I don't see what these girls see in him "Chad. Prince Charming Jr. Cinderella son" Doug introduced as Evie looked at him shocked, making their face quite close "Chad inherited the charm, but not a lot of there, there, know what I mean?"
"I agree with you Doug" I jumped in making the both of them looked me, I shrugged my shoulder and looked at Chad and saw him spacing off by looking up in the ceiling "Looks like there, there to me" She said dreamily, I turn around when I heard footsteps behind me, my eyes went to look at Mr. Deley who was walking our way "Evie" He called getting all of the three in the table attention "Perhaps this is just review for you. So tell me, what is the average atomic weight of silver?" He asked her a chemistry question as Chad and I looked at her
"Atomic Weight?" Evie asks "Uh, well, not very much. I mean, it's an atom, right?" She laughed and Chad joined her, The teacher looked away for a second and signaled her to come up the chalkboard "You got this" I told her smiling up at her, She smiled back at me as she grabbed something from her purse and walked up the board "Let's see" She said confidently as she grabs the chalk from Deley's hand
"How do I find the average atomic weight of silver?" She repeated the question "That's would be," She began to write on the board "106.905 times 0.5200, plus 108.905, times 0.4800," Chad turned around from looking from the board to a piece of paper "Which, Mr. deley, would give us, 107.9 amu" She finishes and gave the teacher a cheeky smile "Amu?" Doug questions quietly, I simply shrugged my shoulder at him "I forget." Deley looks regretful
"Always a mistake to underestimate a-"
"A villain?" Evie asks as she dramatically turned around "Don't make it again" She did an underarm throw the chalk at Mr. Deley, he catches it, Chad gave Evie a piece of paper while looking at her dreamily, she smiled at him and grabbed the paper softly
I watch her sit down and open the paper, after she read it she gave him a nod with a smile, we all put our elbows at the table and palm in our chin. Until our attention went to the door when we all heard a knock, the teacher turned around and saw Ben standing there at the door "Mr. Deley, may I borrow Beatrice" Ben said kindly "Of course Prince Ben" He smiled at my brother, I look at Ben in confusion as he signifies me to come to him "Ben what is it?" I asked him as he closed the door behind him "You're gonna help me train Carlos"
"Oh please anything to skip class" I told him and walked my way to the tourney field with a Ben trailing behind me

We made it to the field to see Carlos already standing there alone in the field "Carlos!" Ben called out to him. Carlos looked up from the grass to the person who called for him "Hope you don't mind I brought my sister with me" Ben pointed me with his Ben and looked at his clipboard "Of course not" Carlos said smiling at me, I smiled back at him and looked down at the grass
I looked up at Ben and see him smile at me and raised his eyebrows. I let out a breathless laugh and rolled my eyes at him
"Okay. Carlos, we're gonna do some sprints. You're gonna compete with Beatrice, she is surprisingly a fast runner. You ready?" I gave him a look before I got on my knees the same with Carlos "I did not come here to get bullied by my brother" I said out loud making Carlos Chuckle
Ben began the timer right when we heard barking behind us, Carlos started sprinting fast while Dude chased him, He began to scream while running for his life towards the forest "Carlos!" I yelled as I sprinted right behind him "Ben!" I called out my brother as he stayed behind. Ben looked behind him and notice me chasing Carlos as he ran faster to the forest with Dude chasing him "Carlos? Carlos!"
I made it to where Carlos is and noticed him up in the tree "Carlos! Are you alright?" I asked him out of breath as Ben made it behind me out of breath as well
"Beatrice! Ben!" He called out for us "Help me!" He screamed as he gripped the tree even more. He pointed at Dude "This thins is a killer! He's gonna chase me down and rip out my throat. This is a vicious, rabid pack animal!"
I tilted my head at the side and furrowed my eyebrows while slightly smiling "Carlos, Dude is Harmless" I told him holding my hand out as Ben picked up Dude "Hey, who told you that?" Ben asks him holding his hand out as well "My mother" He said like it was obvious "Cruella?" I asked "She's a dog expert. A dog yellerer"
I laughed, "I think you meant dog whisperer" I told him as Ben laughed as well "Why are you holding him!? He's gonna attack you!" Carlos freaked out "You haven't actually met a dog, have you, Carlos?" I questioned him "Of course not" He stated the obvious "Well I could tell you that Dude is completely harmless," I told him as I held out my hand for him to get down from the tree
"Dude, meet Carlos. Carlos meet Dude" Ben introduced the two as Carlos grabbed my hand and went down the tree "He'd the campus mutt"
"He doesn't look like a vicious rabid pack animal" Carlos said slowly as I chuckled "Cause once again he's not"
"Jeez. You're a good boy, aren't you?" Carlos said softly and began to pet Dude making me smile, Ben gave Dude to Carlos to hold him "You're a good boy" He commented
"I guess you guys have it pretty rough on the island" Said Ben as he put his hands into his pockets "Yeah, let's just say we don't get a lot of belly rubs" Carlos said sadly, they let out a chuckle "Good boy," Ben said touching Carlos shoulder making me let out a laugh "I mean, you're a good runner. You're...You're fast, you know" Ben corrected himself
"Thank you" Carlos smiled "Yeah. Listen, I'm gonna give you guys some space, yeah?" Carlos nodded "You guys get to know each other and just, you know, come find me when you're done, okay?" Ben said as he keeps backing up "Bea you coming?" He asks "Yeah sure" I told him "Bye Carlos" I wave my fingers at him as he wave back "Bye"
Ben and I walk out the forest and back inside the school "You so like him" Ben commented and walked away. I scoff at him and rolled my eyes. That's my thing to do.
